checkoutsmart are offering £4.50 cashback if you purchase this fromTesco . Tesco is currently selling this for £11, so after cashback that’s only £6.50! This usually sells for £16! You can also claim several times, please check your app as I have claimed before so I can not confirm the exact amount of maximum claims.
I have had this several times and it is very delicious and a good percentage

You buy items which they have on their app and then they give you money back for these items. They are normally new products where the manufacturer wants people to try them.
Over the last 2 years I have earned back £324 on just this app! I mostly get the items which are free, or deals like this!
Yes you have to spend the full amount first, but if you save up £20 in cashback money there is no fee to pay, otherwise there is a 5% fee that they will take.

You can buy all 5 at once on the same receipt or you can purchase a maximum of 5 over the duration of the offer.
You just can’t claim more than 5, but how / when you buy them doesn’t matter as long as it’s only 5

Thanks for the info. Tempted to give it a try but remember using Shopitize and feeling it take over your life. Used to actually make trips to the supermarket to get free stuff, but what you don't realise is how much of time you waste driving there. parking, looking for the item, fiddling with the receipt being photographed/accepted etc. It is fine if you have a major supermarket close to you, but otherwise I almost felt compelled to buy things I really didn't need, just because it was free.

I downloaded this app - made 3 purchases and already put the claims in for the receipts. Funnily enough - I didn’t get this alcohol. Shall await it to be credited back to me.

This is how it’s been for me for awhile now. We moved last year and the shops got further away, so when I see free things it needs to be worthwhile for me to go there, as like you said it takes large amount of time out of your day.
But I have got to try a lot of stuff I would never of bought and have saved a lot of money from the apps.
I’m just very cautious of how much money I leave on these apps after what happened with Shopitize!

If the total of your cashback claims is under £20 you do have to pay a fee of 5%. So if you are planning on continuing to use the app then waiting to get £20+ will save you a couple of pence

What happened to Shopitize? I stopped using it one day randomly and then never looked back. I think changing my phone and not re-installing the app is what got me out of that habit.

Yes I’ll continue to use it. It seems a “sensible” way of saving so to speak - and trying a load of new products.

I bought granola for £3 with £2 cashback twice.

Also bought the “free” yogurt thing for £1 so that’s £5 that I should be getting credited. ran out of time before work to try to get other bits and pieces but seems fun for me this - so I’ll carry on.

Ps if my partner downloads and uses the app (eg buys the same products as well at same time - different receipts) is this still allowed?

Also - could you essentially buy the “free” yogurt from 5 different supermarkets and put x5 claims in?
If anyone is new to Checkoutsmart I would highly recommend other cashback apps like:
Quidco ClickSnap (all these offers are generally on checkoutsmart).
GreenJinn (no so much freebies but certainly gives some good money back on every day items and decent bargains when shops already have the item on offer).
Shopmium (this has to be my favourite as money is paid straight into your account after you claim the cashback! Had a lot of great items from here!).
TopCashback (very minimal use here, however you may have seen some decent cashback offers lately like the £1.50 for Easter eggs and £3 for box of chocolates)

Yes I did the same and then started using these apps again. I tried logging in on the app and it wouldn’t work, wouldn’t let me reset my password. My mum had stopped using it as no offers would ever appear.
A quick google showed how the company went bust and ceased providing any new offers or service to the users. People had hundreds of pounds on the app saved up and they couldn’t get the money back! I would always recommend to withdraw as soon as you hit £20 as that can be bearable to lose if something did happen, rather than £100+.
Shopmium has to be my favourite app as they don’t mess about, you claim receipt and it’s promptly validated, cashback is then sent immediately for each item to your PayPal or bank!

I use Quidco - I used to use topcashback but for some weird reason I seem to prefer Quidco even though it’s probably not as good.
When I'm on the app it's offering 2.50 cashback when selecting claim - Tesco - Friday 19th. What am I doing wrong?

Downsides are having to spend the money and be without the money for x amount of time until it builds to £20. So when there’s a lot of others around for cashback it can be a bit crazy, but you’ll get the money back in the future!

Well me and my partner both have the app. I do the shopping and the trips to the shop for deals like this. I keep the trolley sectioned into 2 so I place my app items on one side and my partners on the other side. I then go self checkout and scan / pay for my items and then do a new scan / pay for my partners. This means you’ll get one receipt for your app stuff and one receipt for your partners.
You do get some odd looks sometimes but if your not buying a lot it’s all okay, or just go to normal till will probably be easier! The reason I do the two as the T&Cs were not clear previously so just to not have any issues I do it this way, and also means I don’t get confused when I get home on who and what needs claiming!
Unfortunately not everyone gets the same offers. I have been a long member of the app and was invited to a RRP ‘membership’ so I get extra offers. My partner will sometimes get different normal offers to me too. So you have to ideally check both your apps before shopping and presuming that they will also have your offers (learnt from experience)

Yes, if the offer states claim up to 5 times you can purchases these from any of the supermarkets stated. Eg. 1x bought at Sainsburys on Monday, 2x bought at Tesco on Wednesday and 1x bought at Morrison’s today - however in this deal, Tesco is the only place selling this item on offer so you are better off only buying from Tesco

Unfortunately the £4.50 cashback was effective from today, so if you are claiming cashback for the item which you purchased before today, you can only claim back the originally cashback of £2.50.
I have kept thinking today is the Friday so just check that the receipt is not for today which is Saturday 20th

Thanks mate. Yeah - I like the fact that it’s “stored” for a future time - it’s kind of like a way for me to save money in a way lol. And I Agree with what you said about withdrawing at £20. I will be doing that also.

- also thank you for detailed response . I’ll have a lot deeper look into it I think but I think will continue

No worries, any other questions I’m here!
I just checked all my apps ect. And I have earned back £660 over the last few years. Some of these involved me spending money where the items are not free. And some of these were a different type of cashback, where you purchase something from a retailer and you get cashback from the total order.
But it does show that it has been worthwhile, but I can not lie and say it doesn’t take some effort and time to buy and claim back. But it gives me something to do

Yes I have a fair bit of free time at work so can do it then. Can also check out the deals at work as well and it’ll keep me busy.

I do have a question though:

I found this:

However on looking at Morrison’s website they only list this:

I would assume that because different flavour - that it wouldn’t count. Is this correct? Also - do supermarkets often not list the item online but it is actually in store? Reason being this is £1 - but you can buy 10 so total cost = £10.

However it’s £8 cashback on that - so effectively would cost 20pence a carton. Is Morrison’s still selling it? Bearing in mind it isn’t on their website anymore?

I would recommend mySupermarket.co.uk to help see what the price is currently. They usually have the up to date prices and if the item isn’t on there, then I go directly to each shops website. When you search an item it states what the price is for each retailer, so for deals like this vodka one, you can straight away see that Tesco is the cheapest shop at the current time!

Sometimes I can’t find it on mysupermarket or on the shops own website. A google of the item like ‘homepride tomato and garlic 350g’ then brought up the item on the shops page. Sometimes this also won’t bring anything and the only option is to go to the shop and find it and then decide if it’s worth the cashback!
37504978-9dy5v.jpg

The receipts can be very simple on what they state the items to be. This may only show as pasta sauce or homepride pasta, in which case you could claim for the offer on a different product. But they could probably see it’s actually more expensive for the correct item and supposedly decline your cashback request. Sometimes the receipts are very specific so this would not work. However I believe some of these apps have automatic systems, so it may or may not work, but I wouldn’t recommend if you wouldn’t want to pay full price for the incorrect items

Yes my apologies that’s what I thought . I went through and actually it’s offered as 50p cashback for that specific item.
