What's the shelf life on this stuff?

Don't worry, your VW Group diesel car will soon burn through it all.

They probably won't honour it. Often decline.

Decent price. Always used Triple QX in my mk4 TDI , until the chocolate camshaft died : (
Good deal, ordered to collect rather than delivery, 14 shown in stock at my local branch

Haha! Unfortunately it was a common problem on the VW MK4 pd150 engines , another fault VW never wanted to own up too! Can't blame the oil this time , lol.

I bet it's because you used the oil to cook your Southern Fried Chicken in first - by the way, is that your secret ingredient?

DPF = lot's of clogged up engine trouble and very expensive oil ,just get it bypassed and re-mapped.

Always use this oil in my 115ps pd and never missed a beat, nice and quiet and changed every 5-6k so i can change it 2 or 3 times for same price as a gallon of expensive branded stuff which i bet is just the same stuff anyway.....

Yes, replaced around 5 years ago with new cam, tappets and set of shell bearings.

Car was then around 10years old and the cam was oem, the car is now nearing 15yo and still strong

It's an issue on all the PD engines, thats why they recommend using decent oil.

I've also never used the longlife service intervals and change it every 10k or 12 months.

The quantum oil, which is what VW use, is only £20.

Plenty of PD engines last well over 200k miles.

Well, to be fair I did get 211K out my PD150 engine , so I can't really complain.

Agree.....my dad has a galaxy 130 ps and done more miles than space shuttle and always had this oil in in so i think the theory of chocolate camshaft cheap oil is NOT this oil as his is sweet as a nut and so is my 115ps which have never seen anything else so it's probably the crap 150ps motor that is the problem me thinks
