Bought one from the Bedworth store a few weeks ago, it's only on a par with the cheapies off eBay, no more than OK in the day and virtually useless at night. The 'night mode' has to be manually activated by a button on the base, but I can't tell any difference between the day and night modes.

Night mode will presumably be where the led lights turn on and reflect off the windscreen dazzling the image sensor, although the lens is likely to have a permanent IR filler limiting its sensitivity to IR light.anyway.

You get what you pay for. How much of your excess can you afford to lose if you don't have a decent dashcam with good night vision? I always recommend Roadhawk. They're built to last.

I agree, I bought a used Transcend, which I've had before, and have put the Accelerate in the rear window, it was an impulse buy more than anything else!
