I'm interested, but not immediately clear on the MO. Would appreciate definition of what existing library membership would qualify. Also intrigued about how the supplier would confirm that existing membership. Thanks.

Incredible freebie. Magazines are running about 2 months behind what's in the shops!

Essentially a free digital subscription.

anybody can get in free with a random number - eg I got in with 5847963

did you notice that the Daily Telegraph made a lot of the interesting articles 'Premium'?

this is a good way around that

mad! Couldn't get in with my library card number - yet got straight in with a made up number as you advised. Thanks.

Try Instapaper app. Welcome to Instapaper!
blog.instapaper.com/pri…fxi

This has been posted before.

I've used it a few times before but I find the pages quite slow to update on my laptop; running AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-60 2.00ghz,4.00gb ram,Windoze 7 64-bit os.

I find the pages load quicker downloading a pdf file,to read offline on laptop or smartphone.

++heat;
That's a great find, OP!
It's international, even has La Vanguardia here in Spain. It wouldn't accept my Spanish library card number but a makey-uppey 7 digit number seems be working fine. Thanks for sharing!

It was the beano that got me Heat added

just wish the press reader app works now.
edit:App does not work

the reason that most real library cards do not work is that your local library service will not be subscribed to the service... it's important to understand that they have to pay to allow their users to access; a connection to the library management system then authenticates the library card number. There is a massive assumption that there is no cost to these free services and sadly most suppliers charge the libraries exorbitant rates... worst of all being ebooks!

Thanks .... (_;)

Great find, thanks

very nice find

Thank you for this!

I just subscribed to Le Figaro, Le Monde and Vogue Paris at my local newsagent, but at £2 each just for the newspapers it's quickly becoming a big spend.
Good to know that I'll still have somewhere to read them if I do decide to stop them.

Heat added and thanks again.

Good spot thanks

Cheers

How do you download a magazine to pdf file on PressDisplay?

It still works if you use proper library bar code

That's wok I'm trying to find out!

How can you find out what libraries work with this? I'm in North London but I don't think my local is apart of this scheme.

it's still working but you need to be more creative in your number

Thanks

Just logged in with a made up number and loving the breadth of content. Very happy and thanks to the OP...
