This is a good spot OP... Thanks.. heat added.

its a good price but not sure on the actual course, it suggest that you can get a job in project management but i highly doubt that someone with no previous knowledge would find that. I was thinking of doing this last year but decided against as there was a massive influx of Prince2 project managers with the redundancy from the government jobs.

As per above this is just an ad to get you to buy a worthless exam for £620. PRINCE2 has become a joke as you can sit anyone fool down and pay an online course enough to pass them. What is the point of being PRINCE2 Practitioner certified with no PM experience and no experience of stakeholder or MS Project? No one is going to give you a job from this. PMI PMP is the way to go as it actually proves that you have 3-5 years PM experience.

Before you pay, find out WHO IN THIS WORLD recognise this qualification!

Without the relevant experience its a waste of time. Also the exam costs extra.

What makes the exam worthless? The option to sit exams naked is priceless to me!

Prince 2 is widely acknowledged in IT sector jobs...though as above, I have found you get all sorts of people calling themselves "Project Managers" with little or no experience off the back of it.
In my experience, some people have managed to carve a very well-paid career out of it, while others are quickly found out to lack the depth of knowledge to go with it.
The course and exam are almost worthless on their own, though if you have the gift of the gab, you can probably end up getting a job off the back of it, such is the need for PM's in this sector.

I respect the PMP infinitely more than the Prince 2, but some people are incorrectly suggesting that noone would offer them a job if they had a Prince 2, while I hate to say it, but my experience says otherwise...

Did this course in Feb. Quite a heavy course, specially the practitioner exam. Its NOT a course on PM, only Prince2 methodology.
Interestingly, there were 8 people on the course. Myself & one other who were not PMs plus 6 full time PMs. Only the two who were NOT PMs passed the practitioner exam. Make of it what you like!
Also the 5 day course + manual (quite expensive) + exams only cost me £500 + VAT. So, if exam only is £620, then definately not worth it.

No one is going to give you a £50,000 PM job after an online course. You will need several years industry experience and several years PM experience. There is not exactly a shortage of PMs, there is a shortage of good experienced PMs with relevant industry and technology experience.

For the length of access to the online resources 99 quid is a good deal. Does it guarantee a job at the end? No. Should you do this over any other PM certification, only you can decide. I will say though that it is absolutely beneficial for any professional to have some knowledge of PM methodology, regardless of sector, industry or job title as the ability to collaborate effectively on 'projects' is a fundamental skill.

There are cheaper options for sitting the exams in the UK and overseas;
