What about the tronic charger thats on sale in Lidl is that any good for £15?
Heat...had this a while now, still don't know what the numbers mean !!!

Refresh can take days to complete.
Dolmetscher bitte, Schnell, hol mich einen Dolmetscher ab!

Presumably comes with a nazi style plug too, so don't forget to order an adaptor.
Hmmm could do with a new charger. Dont know wether to buy this or the lidl one and spend the difference on some eneloops? Decisions decisions.
I don't know how this compares to BC-700 Technoline, but if they are of similar quality I can really recommend this. I bought the charger and some eneloops for a friend and never heard him again complaining about batteries and charging.

Well the Tronic can charge C, D & 9V as well, this only does AA & AAA, but this one can measure capacity in mAh and some other interesting stuff. This one also has more charge rate options.

Here's a thread from a flashlight/battery forum on this charger:

I had read that the Lidl chargers were good but when you say it is quick at charging then it may not be so good. Depending on how quick then quick is not usually best for the battery life. I have the Technoline one and whilst it does have features this does not it doesn't recognise completely flat batteries and I have to part charge them in my Speedybox charger first. I would guess the Lidl one is more on a par with the Speedybox which I believe to be very good..Speedy in the Speedybox case was a good few hours for AA batteries. I only bought the Technoline cos I like gadgets and wanted to know the actual charge in the various batteries I had.

That charger doesn't look like it charges each battery independently. To get your batteries fully charged or not overcooked it is important that they are. I may be wrong and they may be independently charged but it looks like they need to be charged in pairs which would indicate not.

No the maplins one is in pair but it is a basic charger at £11.99 so can't really complain at that price.

The Maha powerex has independent charging bays though

Mine arrived today, came with a UK plug.
This is showing as back in stock, after being out of stock for quite some time.
I think I might grab one. For those that have one, what are your thought thoughts on it ?
Is there much difference between this and the accucell bc-700 here ?

I would suggest you get the BL-700 (the UK version) rather than the BC-700

batterylogic.co.uk/tec…asp

It comes with a UK plug/transformer.

The BC-700/BL-700 allows you to set different charging currents per battery, which I don't think the one in the OP allows.

I meant the BC-700 comes with a non UK plug, hence why I suggested the UK version, the BL-700

Does the IQ328 allow you to set different charging rates for different batteries charging at the same time? The BL-700/BC-700 does.

Also can you have different charging modes per battery at the same time with the IQ328? e.g. a simple charge on one battery whilst refreshing another? The BL-700/BC-700 allows this..

The IQ328 comes with a UK plug and yes you can set different charge rates at the same time. You put one battery in, set its charge rate, wait for it to start charging, then put another battery in set its charge rate, etc.

You cannot have different modes at the same time but do you really need that? I dont.

I find it can come in handy

e.g. you are half way through attempting to bring back to life (Refresh) 2 x AA batteries you found in the back of a drawer you hope to use in a camera for when the sun comes out, when you suddenly discover your 2 x AAA batteries in your torch need a top up (Charge)
