decent screen 4gb ram nice..... also consider dell 4gb for £149 or hp 4gb for £139
Can anyone confirm whether this is fanless please? Can't seem to find the answer on Google/Acer website. Thanks.
Strange processor choice for Chromebook, high power consumption, average performance. Very much doubt this will be passive cooled.
Does this have touch screen? Any recommendations with touch screen?

Can't see any vents in the video, so I think it's passive cooled. It's not partly Aluminium like the Acer Chromebook 15, it's all plastic. It has the same excellent 1080p display.

Nobody else sells this how can i verify the RRP?

Interesting. Looks good spec wise for the price but can't decide between this and ASUS C101PA as it's smaller (both as a second device to a Surface Pro and will get connected to a monitor often).

I've got A6 in my normal laptop and can confirm it is a bag of s***
Wow, just looked it up on Geekbench and the bargain basement Acer CB3=431 with Celeron n3160 is about 30% faster than this AMD powered model in the multi-core test
Heat, this has auto updates for the next 6 years ( Jun 2025 ) quite a few don't as they get 6.5 from when the chipset was first used in a chromebook, some people are buying chromebooks that wont get auto updates in 3 years (like the Lenovo s330 etc..).

This should hit octane scores or around 14,000+ which is fine for most people. Benchmarks don't always reflect real world performance but so far Octane has served me well. It really comes down to how well they optimise the OS to the cpu.

The only slight downside is it's more power hungry than Intel so a bit lower battery life, at a guess I would say about 7 hours vs the up to 10 hours.

I always check these tables before buying a Chromebook:

support.google.com/chr…=en

I would like to point out I haven't tried out any AMD chromebooks so all the above is theoretical, and I can't find any solid reviews for the AMD version so if anyone has one, it would be good to get a users perspective, and how android apps perform also.
