Was about to buy a 24" 1440p Asus from Amazon for almost the exact same price a few hours ago... then found this and thought I'd prefer a higher resolution over no bezels on the Asus
Good deal but Is 4k necessary at this size?
4K is definitely wasted on a screen this size. I'd usually recommend sticking with 1440p right up to 27. Worth dropping the extra for 144hz too. This is not the prettiest looking monitor - but can't argue with the price so got to vote hot

I paid more for my AOC 25 inch 1440P IPS 18 months ago. Will be great for photo/video editing. Great deal but I'd go for a 27 inch for 4K editing. Have some heat.

Not entirely true, on that screen size it’s great for writing code, photo/video editing etc. Of course the bigger the better, but I wouldn’t call it a waste. More “not utilising the full potential of 4K”

Been looking for a good deal on a 27 inch 1440p 144Hz with Gsync but they charge silly money for them...

Some one who has owned a 4k 24" monitor I can say it really isn't wasted at all.

How does Windows handle scaling in apps at that resolution?
Have you the model number or link to £250 amazon. I'd like to read the amazon reviews and do a camelcamelcamel thanks

Windows 10 was very good. I remember how bad it was on 7 and 8.1, but it has improved so much. I don't know what it is like today as I no longer own it and I haven't for a year now. I had to sell it so I could afford my GTX1080ti. Still got my X34.

I don't quite understand why you quoted me just to inform me 4K screens can do lower resolution. No relevance at all to what I stated. This is a 23.6" monitor and I said at this size, the resolution will be wasted on a small screen. Yes you can do photography/video editing but if that was your preference - you'd be using a larger screen anyway
