Well, after spending enough to support a small country this year, I said that next year would be a drybuy one, well it's not next year yet!....
I have a 22" LG IPS monitor, found the IPS to be loads better and would only jump to 27" to see a benefit (some 24" been around 100 quid, but not always IPS), plus 3 inputs is a must.... to ease the pain opted for the interest free Paypal credit payment, 12m at 0%

can i attach this with dual monitor arm?
Deal breaker for me, reasons

- Height not adjustable

- no built in speaker

- no headphone socket

- 5ms for gaming

I'll wait another year.

See you in 2018!

It doesnt mention vesa anywhere
Is this panel in the 'generic' camp or is it pretty darn good for the price? I mean, 27" panels can go as cheap as £120 on good days. I guess it is IPS tho... Worth noting DELL do a 27 IPS model in the same price range, also 1080p.

This is a pretty darn good price for a 27" IPS display.

Also, somebody above noted '5ms' as bad for gaming - it's really not. This is entirely standard for IPS displays and they're just fine for gaming. That number never really tells the full story of pixel response, anyways. And you're going to have to go TN to get better, which is a deal-breaker for me. You'd have to be a serious competitive gamer to really care about '5ms' response time anyways. Lots of PC gamers use IPS and are entirely happy with them.
Can't find many reviews, looks like an older model.
Had problem with ebayer in the past , think I'll wait fir a better deal, heat anyway o
The bezel looks thinner in the video, is it the same model do you reckon?

No - no vesa mounts see the pictures here

Have look here much better looking monitor and similar specs but still no vesa - 10£ more expensive but you will still have to pay delivery on ebuyer if you dont want to wait ages on the free delivery they offer - also much better CS.

Ebuyer used to be very good with customer service and returns back in the day, even then it was the odd HDD that died, trouble is these days people have no respect for any thing or indeed treat things with respect, make me cringe when I see some computer/electronics in the hands of trolls, worst thing, people who unplug stuff on pc's/tv's without shutting down or dorks that carry their laptops round by holding the screen (whilst on), then leave reviews for stuff that's broke through their own ignorance.... arr well... it was the PPal 0% 12m that did it for me... won't even notice the 11'n'half per month...

Seeing lots of stuff about Acer's panels. Like, they seem to have a real problem with backlight bleed/panel consistency on this range.

had a look at this, does seem to be an issue with light bleed on black, however they also say it's very bright.... but when you have folks marking a product down because it 'doesn't have speakers' (like 95% of the monitirs I've seen!) then they're hardly tech critics it's like buying delboys van then complaining it's only got 3 wheels LOL .... that said, if it is a bag o nob, I'll be the 1st to say so

To be honest, I don't get it... but then again my computer is surrounded by a speakers and a subwoofer.

Not the fancy kind... just the nice mid-range cheerful ones.

I guess if you want the monitor to double as a tele, they can be useful for HDMI audio pass-through in sticky situations like consoles. Especially if one doesn't have enough dough for more electronics. Which is probably most people.

But either way; panel quality is more important. RESEARCH YOUR PANELS people, you'll thank me later when you play games or watch naughty videos.

I like how you separate gayming and naughty vids that said, I'm sure lots of gaymers have virtual girlfriends and them 480p vids are looking so 1980 LOL

For anyone who watching this thread (offer still active!), I was supposed to receive my monitor today (ordered it on the 30/12/17), but them clowns YODEL f%$£ed it up, sighting the lack of delivery as 'refused'.... ironically I took an order off these clowns at the same work address around the same time and signed for it in my name.... Yodel really are a$$ clowns and for that reason, I didn't want it delivered 2moro (waited long enough!) I cancelled the order, will get one off amazon, their customer service is bang on and no quibble if owts wrong.

Apart from the fact they're on my moan list at the moment, order a new nas/cloud on prime, told a mate (none prime member) he bought it a couple of days later for a fiver cheaper and got the same 'next day' delivery included, so I won't be renewing my prime account this year...
