Quoted delivery time is 3 weeks.

It'll usually take less time than that. In my experience, Amazon are pretty conservative with estimates for those products where they're willing to take orders in advance.

Agreed.
120hz master race.

Nonsense. 60hz is obviously perfect for 60fps, which is the best that most can hope for at 1080p. And 60fps is more than enough.

And 6ms is plenty too. I'd wager your wouldn't notice the difference between this and a 2ms response time.

No point buying high end gpu and crossfiring them if I only want 60hz/fps ...
Most mid and above gaming pc's will run above 60fps at 1080p if the monitor supported it....

It's all very well buying two expensive graphics cards, but then that's overkill for a single 1080p monitor. You can splurge your money as you please. I'm just saying that your claim that 6ms/60hz is "not good for gaming" is patently spurious, because that's exactly what I have. The elitist attitude of the PC gaming master race (unless employed humorously) isn't becoming. "Oh your monitor isn't 2560x1600 120hz? Pah, call yourself a gamer?".

I'm not trying to be master race as I said in another thread when halo5 comes out I'll buy an xbone to play it.....

But when buying new equipment I try to buy the best I can afford, so when I buy new I always get better than needed this way I don't have to upgrade it all at once....

A fool and his money ......

I could buy a £50,000 PC but why ? simply because I could afford it ? Lunacy.

That's fine, I'm not disputing your right to buy whatever you like. In fact I think it's sensible to at least consider how future-proof your components are when choosing them (within your means obviously).

What I want you to acknowledge is that you were wrong when you said that the specs of this monitor are "not good for gaming". They are perfectly adequate and seem well-suited to the kind of rig that most people have or can afford (like me).

Smug PC Gaming Master Race membership isn't just reserved for those who denigrate console gamers (of which I am one, as well as a PC gamer) but those who scoff at anyone who doesn't have a super elite gaming PC, including those who buy budget monitors!

There is an army of PC snobs on here who invariably post on any monitor deal saying things like: "not worth buying, only 60Hz" or "don't bother, it's only 1080p" or "6ms?! Good luck pwning n00bs in Call of Honour: Modern Battlefield with that response time!" - failing to take the specs in context with the price and other factors.

Rant over.

It's just "the price" for a 27" TN panel 1920x1080 screen.

Far better deal is the VA BenQ, I've posted that before around £145, but even now you can get it for £156, a better bet than this:

Ok, so the newer model is now available under 150! I created a new deal, check this as an alternative (much better IMO)

Problem?

Problem?

This is the internets we're using here, apologies are not forthcoming! Also, I can EASILY tell the difference between a 6ms monitor and my 2ms BenQ so I suspect many others in the PC gaming master race also can.

If you can't see it, I can't tell you
