The description says it also ships with a copy of Assassins Creed Origin, presumably a uPlay code

Considering G-Sync carries a £200 premium this is a bargain at half it's RRP. Hot

Tracks you eyes as they count the pixels at 1080p on a 27" screen. It is worth paying £50-100 extra to go for a 1440p 144Hz+ screen as in the long run 1080p won't satisfy you and you will still be looking to upgrade. I have a G-Sync screen and I am not convinced that it really adds much for the money, since I target high refresh rates (120fps+) where tearing /V-Sync lag isn't very noticeable.

Thanks, was considering getting the lenovo a few weeks back which was pretty much the same price and spec.

Not sure if it's worth getting a 1440p as I've only got a 970 but can you recommend any monitors you've mentioned?

This is a £600+ monitor, Scorching Deal.

1080P on a 27" screen is perfectly fine, looks great. You'd pay £100 more than this for the non curved basic TN panel without eye tracking.

Going to cancel the £200 32" 1440 AOC as this is miles better.

Looks like there's a delivery charge I'd add the to the listing OP

Hot! Just bought a lenovo same specs for the same price a month ago. But this. This is a Predator!

Hi - where can you get a 27" 1440p G-sync monitor for only £50-£100 more than this? Believe me I've been looking for ages for a deal on a monitor with those specs, but nothing cheaper than about £500 has been available for almost a year, so I've continued to wait...

Totally with you on this one. The equivalent monitor @1440p on scan is almost £800

scan.co.uk/pro…ble

That's £500 more. Not £50-£100. Granted you might find a better value 1440p monitor but let's be honest, this is a cracking deal.

Also, consider that not everyone is packing £500+ of GPU. Anyone with a 1050ti or perhaps 1060 or equivalent card, this is a great match.

That's not even a review. They really dont make any judgements or observations about the display quality at all.

"It has Gsync and eye tracking, which is why it's expensive". That's it. That's all the entire 'review' says.
Edited by: "Seanspeed" 21st Nov

Let's be honest you will need a 1070 to push latest games at ultra 1080p high frame rates to take advantage of this monitor so it's future proof for some time yet. Heat heat heat

I have this monitor, I paid about £320 for it. It's a good monitor for the price, going from 1080p to 23" to 27" 1080p it is very much noticeable in txt in Windows etc but I have got used to. Yes a 1440p would be better but it's so much more money for even a TN screen. This is a VA screen so much better contrast. Would games look better in 1440p? Hard to say without side by side how much better it would be. £300+ better?

Just to add though I have never got the Tobii to work very well, just disconnects all the time and now doesn't work at all. I have contacted Acer for repair but 2 weeks without my monitor. can't be bothered.

Just collected mine from their shop, quick look in the document bag and there's only an AC: Syndicate code, which expired Aug 15th 2017 =/

I might update this when I get chance to check through the box properly, otherwise I guess I'll email Scan about it.

EDIT:
Need to install the eye tracking software to get the code

Maybe on Friday that price is realistic, been looking for a sub £500 1440p G-Sync monitor myself but no joy as of yet, this deal is really tempting but I want to hold out for 1440 not a 1080

I currently running a dell s2716dg with a gtx 970. It runs fine with med-high settings on recent aaa titles. I plan to upgrade once my card dies, not too bother with attaining max settings, plus I got a an additional 2 years of warranty on the gtx 970.

Is it worth spending £500+ for the dell or bite the bullet for this?

Great find. Ordered one as this is the best price I ever saw for 27`` G-Sync monitor. I would prefer 1440p but not willing to pay +£500.

TimeZ0ne1 h, 47 m ago

Depend on your perspective, I ok with spending £400 but not £500 new. I bought mine for around £420 from the last hotukdeals post with the "refurbished" dell S2716DG with 3 year warranty with NRGIT. Hopefully it will last for 5 years or longer plus I hate the "gaming" looks of the other brands.
Previously was on a Dell S2440L (24 inch 1080p), which is a VA but the S2716DG is still better in colour in my opinion mostly due to colour calibration and a matt screen. Moving from 24" 1080p to 27" 1440p is definitely a step up for me for both visual and productivity. I bought a ASUS VC279H (27 " 1080p) for my Dad and I personally don't like it but my Dad is fine with that.
Not sure about Scan return policy but I guess you could try the monitor out and return for a full refund within 14 days etc...

Just ordered, price seems too good to pass up and gSync for this price is pretty unheard of. Nice upgrade to my old 1080p 60hz.

It's not 144hz , its not curved. There are a lot of monitors available at that price point that don't have high refresh rate, if you want 1440 AND high refresh rate then its more expensive, i believe is the point people are making.

Yes, it has greater pixel density i.e. it's sharper. Yes it's not exactly the same i.e. no G-Sync, smaller, no eye tracking, but the point being that it has 144hz and 1440p for this price if someone values those things more

Mine arrived today, picture is really nice, sound excellent for a monitor, eye tracking works fine - love the facial recognition log on with windows 10, most of all i'm impressed with how much better a curved screen is on a PC.

If anyone else orders make sure you open the instructions, you get a Uplay key for Syndicate.

I'm surprised this isn't far hotter but then a lot of people think 27" is too big for 1080p

If my head is 1ft from the screen yes, at my normal viewing distance of 2 - 2.5 ft no i can't see pixels.

I may be a bit biased as i've run a 27" @ 1080p for the last 5 years, long before anyone decided it was too low resolution.

There is no 1ms monitors.

There is no standard measurement for response time. All manufacturers measure it differently.

Most measure from one shade of grey to another shade of grey and call that 1ms. When really if they measured the change from black to white it would be like 10ms+

Basically just read actual reviews instead of looking at made up specs.
