What kind of sadist would play games with a monitor's inbuilt speakers?

Anyone know what the freesync range is?

Lol Freesync works with almost all AMD cards. And yes it is a very useful feature. I always have it enabled on my setup.

did you not read what I said?
No one uses them. Nvidia leads the way. It's a shame to not have a choice, but it is what it is.

Freesync (variable fresh rate) has been confirmed for HDMI2.1 and since Xbox and PS4 are using AMD cards..................

Freesync is far from useless. More people are gaming with AMD graphics then NVIDIA. You forget both the Xbox One and PS4 both use AMD chips. With the Xbox One S and Xbox One X having Freesync support.
1440p TN panel. At this price point you may as well get a 4k screen.

Tell that to all the Xbox and PS4 players.
Damn not ips

Coming from someone with a 1080ti and 7700k, don't bother getting a 4k monitor. Newer games will be too hard to run at that resolution and decent settings, 2k isn't much of a downgrade either. And you don't want to be downscaling when playing games, it gives it a horrible blur on most screens.

Monitors are the kind of thing where you might have to send it back, and then deal with Very's customer support. No thanks
Windows looks horrible on a 4k 27" screen. You can't see a thing and the scaling makes text awful. 1440p at this screen size is the way to go.

How would a GTX 1060 6gb & Ryzen 5 1600 hold up running 1440p? Will that be too much for it?

Should be ok you would more than likely get around 50-70fps depending on what settings you use.

GTX 1060 is a good 1080p card.

For similar money you can get 27 " 1440p IPS monitors so I wouldn't recommend spending the same money on a TN panel.

Even if you wanted buy an AMD card right now you'd struggle to find any of the high end cards for a good price thanks to miners.

It's a no brainer for gamers right now, unless you've invested in a freesync monitor already it's hard to justify going the AMD route, there's also the increased noise, heat and power consumption from the AMD cards to consider.

Yeah I’m 1080p at the moment, runs great. Will leave 1440p for when I one day get a new card I think
Great but just hope nothing goes wrong. Very have the most appalling customer service I have ever encountered in over 20 years of online shopping.

Don't just take my word for it.

Nvidia cards are over priced as well.

AMD cards are better for mining, that's their strength, sadly for gamers that makes them more expensive than the equalivent nvidia card. But yes, nvidia cards are also effected but not as much as AMD cards.
What does wqhd mean? What's the difference between this and a 2k monitor? I'm confused why they word is so nerdy

The miners are still driving prices of both company's cards up. Neither one is really affected more than the other, so, prices and the numbers of cards available are still affected on both sides. Sad, but true.

I've got a 4k screen; you run games at 1080p, you have the OS/desktop at 4k. Only bit that significantly goes to hell is Origin and a few minor apps.
