Just be warned that 1080p at this size is shocking for desktop use. Gaming is fine though.

Depends what kind of work/how close you are, mines pretty far set back on a desk so I don't notice it but certainly for close viewing you'll want to go for 1440p

True but to be honest the whole point of ultra wide is so it wraps around your field of view for an immersive experience. Being sat further back kind of defeats the purpose of it.

I had a 1080p ultra wide last year but got rid in favour of 1440p because browsing web pages was incredibly pixelated.

I just bought a curved 27inch 1080p from eBay. The pixels are noticeable, but can imagine any bigger would be horrendous

Description also says ultra wide 1080p but it seems it is 3440 x 1440 which is ultra-wide QHD.
