Acer + Celeron = COLD

:whistling:

I picked up a Sony Vaio with a Dual Core for less than this

Funny how you never linked to it then.
T3000 is dual core, just low cache.

If the above was aimed at my post, I bought it from the 'Argos Clearance' site on eBay a few months ago  (and links to eBay are not allowed).

... and at the end of the day, a celeron is still a celeron (you can't polish a turd).

looking for a lappy myself, i have to say ebuyer have pentium dual core acer for same money

Here we go again. People vote cold because it's a celeron without any understanding of what the processor is. The T3000 Dual Core Celeron is little different to the recent Dual Core Pentiums, is a bit better than most Dual Core AMD processors and a bit better than some older Core 2 Duos which are still featured in laptop deals posted on here. Overall all these processors are fairly similar.

Not buying it because of the processor makes no sense. The Acer brand is probably a different matter.

Well with the wife's staff discount, double club card points, plus £5 off code and picking up from store on way home friday , i make that a great deal at £283.:p
Seems little difference from intel on spec of a T3000 celeron or T4300 pentium. I am sure someone will bore me with a reason smart stepping would have made a huge difference to my life.
Win7 64 already on too saving the upgrade handling fee or £30 student deal.
Will it do for my open uni course and internet......

hmm i think that will do nicely !

Hot nice post
