Note, this is NOT a Netbook.
I know it's not a capacitive screen but at this price I think it's still a bargain. It has a dual core processor and a long life battery (8 hours).

good one

Can you use this in like a tablet type? i.e. make notes down (writing)

Brilliant device, excellent battery life very responsive screen (resistive), reasonably fast processor, bluetooth, windows 64 bit version. Best of both worlds - netbook and screen folds flat for tablet operation with built in accelerometer for auto screen orientation.
Review based on actually owning one !

I own one too and I love it! Invest in the extra money to buy 2gb more DDR3 RAM to bring it up to 4GB and it's a nice little machine! Battery life is really good too.

Note that it has a proper dual core processor rather than an Atom CPU.

Screen is multi-touch resistive but is responsive enough to gentle finger presses.

Edit:
Suggestion to people who buy this: Use Firefox with flashblock extension to maximise battery life. I think Chrome has the extension too.

Worse part of owning one of these is the finger marks on the screen.

Yes you can.
The screen rotates and folds flat.
We have one at work and it's a very nicely made bit of kit. Well worth the money.

Heat added, around £100 more elsewhere. good spot

Great find i have the model up from this one and i love it great size and battey will last almost all day so no need to carry charger around

Can yopu handwrite on this into One Note?

This is a 64bit machine I think - but does anyone know if you can install 32bit MS Office on it?

Perfect mix of both laptop and tablet, was well tempted to get a iPad, now I don't think I need one anymore. Good review of this device around.

Hot price for a tablet pc.

I just ordered one, BTW.

I'm not convinced about this but I want to be!! If the touch screen isn't that great surely I would be better spending £350 on a better spec laptop??

if only it was 13-14" ..

32 bit apps (almost) always run on 64 bit platforms, but not the other way round

Antithesis (Greek for "setting opposite", from ἀντί "against" + θέσις "position") is a counter-proposition and denotes a direct contrast to the original proposition. In setting the opposite, an individual brings out a contrast in the meaning (e.g., the definition, interpretation, or semantics) by an obvious contrast in the expression.

Just for any numpties like me!!

Think i might order this seems a nice price and long battery life.

Wish it was capacitive...

The capacitive screen version is the 1825PT - which currently costs around £570. Too much for me.

Mine arrived the day after I ordered it. It's a neat, well built little machine and the touch screen is surprisingly responsive. There's also a stylus supplied that fits inside the case when it's not being used.

It depends on what you want to use the touch sensitive display for.
If it's for clicking icons, iPad style then capacitive screens are better.
If you want to use a stylus for handwriting recognition or drawing then these work just fine.

Does anyone know how this resistive screen compares to the capacitive screen of the packard bell butterfly? (which can be had from Curry's for £460) I had a play with one at PC world and was impressed. I'm guessing it would rank a poor 2nd in tablet mode, anyone any experience?

Does this have a CD-ROM?

Nope, you can buy external dvd writers for around £30 though if you really need one.

Been using mine almost a month now! Love it, i don't really use tablet mode, but just having the touch screen there is great. The battery last forever, it's quiet and runs everything i need on it perfectly too! Took me a while to figure out how to enable bluetooth though lol!

Thanks OP!
