I've been looking for a laptop for my daughter and found this. Its a great price for a i3 2.4ghz processor, 8gb of Ram and a 256SSD. £10 voucher as well. Snap it up quick. I bought it through Quidco and got 1% off making it £415.70 with the voucher. The resolution is not its best feature but I would snap these up. Just got to have Red, Red or Red............

Ive watch the voting on this for the first 5 minutes and I just can't understand how 2 people have just knocked 10 points off the heat without an explanation. It makes me sick....3 weeks looking around and this is the best deal with the most SSD for the price plus a 7th Gen i3. I know its got no GPU and the screen isn't 4k but for the money its excellent
I refuse to pay this sort of money for a laptop with such a poor screen. It's excellent apart from that

Its not a lot of money and I knew the screen would be the issue for some, but hey, its a workstation not a gaming rig and it will hold Win 10 and MS Office as well as some music so its worth it
I was only considering it for work, and the screen makes it fairly unusable for that. The manufacturers have penny pinched on the screen. Far better to put less ram in and a better screen. Or simply charge a bit more.
I would say the price is about right for what it is. They are also selling it refurbished with a 12 month warranty on Ebay for £352.99. ebay.co.uk/itm…222

Refurbished is no good for a present mate. Appreciate the comments anyway even if I don't agree with some. Im not going to comment anymore
I want a new laptop and have kept loading the gun for one on the Acer website with the 10% back to school discount and 12% Quidco cashback but can't get myself to pull the trigger because it's Acer.

It's a lot of laptop for around 600 quid, more than what I need it for, and I have had an Acer in the past which was alright to be honest but been reading so much bad press about them in the last couple of years I'm reluctant to take the plunge.

Not just not 4k, I suspect the cold votes are because it's not even full HD resolution and a lot of people consider that should be minimum on new laptops.

Spec does look good apart from that.

Got thus today and set it up for my daughter. Its fast and tge screen really isn't that bad
I don't think £430 is good for an i3 laptop? You can get much better for this money surely? This is a terrible price, how did this even get to 80 degrees??

Return it and get something like this deal instead click. There's no way on earth I would pay £429.99 for a 15'' i3 laptop. If you don't know anything about laptops you should've asked in the 'Ask' section on here click.

Well I have and my daughter is impressed with it. The deal wasn't around that you have just suggested I wanted a fast start up for her, nice cpu and enough ram. The screen is fine and for course work it's ideal. I also didn't want to wait. I still am happy with the purchase. BTW I'm into pcs and build my desktops. I appreciate your help though but I'm ok
Well £430 is too much for a 15'' non FHD laptop, I would say you overpaid for your laptop by £80. If your're happy then end of the day it doesn't matter.
