"
The Aspire 3 15.6" E2 laptop from Acer is powered by an AMD dual-core processor and boasts a sleek, easily portable design with a beautiful tactile finish, plus an HD ready display, 4GB RAM and a huge 1TB hard drive to easily store all your media and documents. The perfect laptop for a reliable, multi-media experience, the Aspire 3 provides you with everything you need to work, browse or watch your favourite movies at home or away.
Portable tech - shaped for comfort, this stylish Acer Aspire 3 has a beautiful, inviting tactile finish, and the 4GB RAM and AMD dual-core processor allow you to complete all your daily tasks and surf the internet seamlessly. With a strategically placed wireless antenna, you can even maintain a strong, consistent wireless signal when on the go. Plus the Precision Touchpad is more responsive than traditional touchpads, helping you work more effectively with minimal effort.

Storage galore - 1TB of storage gives you a huge amount of space so you can easily store and share your important media and documents. While having 4GB of RAM allows you to enjoy your favourite TV shows and movies, save photos and video and run the programmes you need.

Next best price is at Argos for £274.99
Although one of their product image shots shows a screen banner demonstrating it as FHD. You could maybe try and wangle a discount out of them for false advertising (the QVC presenter made the same mistake and corrected it to HD - so it's 720p)

ebay Argos HUKD posts a refurb of this same laptop for ~£220.

Oh my days! What are teenagers doing that's so important that they need to be more productive?

Younger member of the family sits it on his lap or bedding, as a result all the vents are blocked, CPU throttles back and as a result mr numpty punches the keyboard. 3 laptops later he still hasn't learnt.
imagine seeing a £1.5k laptop being punched by someone who doesn't know how to use a cumpewta properlike?

Yeah, it's hardly cutting edge, not even blunt edge, but for teenagers this is more than adequate.

"Dad, can I have an iMac or a Surface Pro or a ThinkPad X1 for my birthday?"
"You wish! Here, take this Acer".

Upgrade it cheaply with an SSD.

I truly believe 'they', as in children in general, are all the weaker for not understanding patience is required in life.
Everything doesn't have to happen right the very second you think of it. You can strategise, breathe, think whilst you're waiting a few seconds for something to happen.
Just because something happens instantly today, it hasn't made kids smarter.

It's a £250 laptop. Let's put things into context.

Bloody scorching
Much better out there for the same money or less. E2 cpu is beyond shocking, even with ssd this is a poor choice. Amd of this generation are slow and awful for power consumption, literally nothing going for this machine

Thank you captain wedgy.
You can get much better machines, eg: refurbished Thinkpads for around the same price, but the Acer is aimed at the student market segment who want something new and untainted from the filthy hands of a businessman.
The specs are sh-i-yte. I know, but a student doesn't need NOR deserves better at the young n foolish and gobby time of their lives.
They want a good machine, let them work for it I say.
Vote me for President. Enough with the snowflakery, it's getting us nowhere.

Brand new and better in every way than the one you posted. That's without doing any real searching. You could have stopped at qvc when assessing whether a good deal

But the presenters made it all sound SO PLAUSIBLE... they all sound so honest and knowledgeable...
and then they told the viewer that you need it in your life, you have to have it in your life.

Lol, the comedy value of the presenters is pretty decent.....on the front we have a vga camera so you can Skype call your relatives and they can see every detail of you and your surroundings

but they ordered a couple for their family just before the show, so should you.

the Intel'd Lenovo vs this pile of high tech savage powerhouse of a laptop are pretty much the same.
The Acer has a Radeon based GPU which should in theory be better than the jalopy Intel. Where it suffers is the memory bandwidth.

Look, let's face it, you can't get a good laptop for £250, might as well make teenager suffer. Get some joy out of your purchase, no?!

Agree the one I shared isn't good, presumably would pay the extra fee quid for ryzen 5.but it is still double the performance and half the power consumption of the E2. Until ryzen, amd really were miles off the pace for at least the last 3 maybe even last 5 years.
