I would not pay £100 for this laptop and neither should you. You wouldn't have a 720p display on your phone so how does this make sense? Consumers need to stop supporting this garbage.

not full HD and no SSD, looks reasonable, but the gurus will pan it!

Yeh, but it won't be that price if it also had full HD and SSD. Heat from me.

SAY NO TO 1366x768 ON LAPTOPS, AT ANY COST

I keep seeing people spam say not to 1366x768 which is wrong, sub £300 i think HD is understandable to some extent, but at nearly £400 i think you have to be a looking at a Full HD screen surely.

Cause having a phone with the same resolution as a cinema screen has always made perfect sense :-)
Most IPhones are 720P and I think most owners are happy with them.

And besides, regardless of whether marketing cons you into buying stuff by putting big numbers on it, a laptop with a 720P screen is perfectly usable and practical. Unless you are watching movies from 50cm away or doing digital art / photography you wont get much practical benefit from anything higher even though it will look better.

You will. Less eye strain especially when working with graphics. Even using it as a text editor, so much less eye strain typing into a 1080p screen versus a 1366x768.

Also the original complaint was when these 768 screens were on 13" laptops so this will look even worse considering it is a 15" panel.

Yeah most iPhones maybe 3 or 4 years ago. Apologies but this comment is completely baseless and a lie. Take that from someone who has built several high end PC's. Higher resolutions for the Windows OS enables the user to have more real estate on the screen. This is particularly important for productivity as you have more/sharper text and images. In terms of video, there is a night and day difference between the resolutions. Please go into your local Currys or whatever hardware store and see the difference for yourself.

I emphasise, stay away from this out-dated, cost-saving garbage.

You will notice I have only been commenting on laptops larger than 13"

I'm not completely ruthless, have left the smaller 10-12" deals alone.

Seriously a 1080p panel literally costs about £10-20 more. No one should have to put up with a 720p screen on a 13"-15" laptop anymore. Give your eyes a break.

Theres is and cheaper on here. £349 with SSD and £329 with 1TB. Different cpu but much the same.

I got one of these on Friday it's going back today. not sure if I got a crap one but it's painfully slow and freezes all the time. it might of just been my one but I'm going for a refund not an exchange.
