Nice find. Excellent price for an i7 let alone with a 750gb HD and 6gb RAM. Fair enough its an Acer and lacking in a few other areas but this is still a hot price imo.

Lets agree to disagree.
I'd say 400 is more the price it SHOULD have been

Don't get me wrong, I certainly wouldn't buy this machine. I'm saying that for the avergae laptop buyer walking into any standard DSG group store this is an excellent price for a relatively well specced laptop.

But then I would a) never buy a laptop from Dixons, and b) haven't bought any kind of computer for years as I prefer to self build

Only Integrated Graphics, I don't even understand why they would have a processor like this without a Discrete Card!!!

i dont think it should phil seeing that other i7 laptops with this cpu are much more, the cheapest i7-2630qm laptop i can find is on amazon for £587.90 and that has a 500gb hd and 4gb ram. so for Just a little over £12 you get an extra 250gb HD and 2gb more ram, considering how much upgrades cost on laptop manufacturer sites, this is pretty cheap for the extra.

The price you think they should be is what the i3 processor 5750s are selling for. Would love to understand how that figure popped into your head because im after a new laptop and this CPU cannot be found cheaper as i have been looking this past month for a new one.

Also does anyone know if dixons have missed out adding that it has a 1gb graphics card and that it may be 8gb memory instead, as i cannot find this spec laptop anywhere on the net, just 750gb HD, 8gb ram, with a 1gb Graphics card that has this i7 cpu ??

Because the integrated graphics on these new processors are good enough (unless you need it for gaming).

Paid £730 off dell outlet for an XPS17

i7-2630QM
6GB
3GB Dedicated graphics (3D)
1080P Screen(3D)
Bluray

Ok that's a refurb

But at this price, i'd rather get an i5 with dedicated graphics and a better screen.

Is Dell outlet still the place to look for a good deal?

I have a budget of about £420 but i'm hoping to get a good deal as i'm in no hurry and can wait for something to come up.

Last time I bought from Dell Outlet it was a case of watching out all day for the new stuff to come on, is this still the case anyone know?
