From acer's new line of notebooks the Aspire 5750G.

It comes with FREE delivery and FREE Bullgard antivirus software worth £44.99 aparently.

IMO This is a very generous price for a laptop with Intels newest sandy bridge i series processors (the very capable i5 not the entry level i3), also has a HD LED Backlit screen, GT540M 1GB dedicated graphics (suitable for gaming) spacey 500GB HDD, Speedy 4GB of ram (upgradable to 8GB i think), and has the newest essential connections such as HDMI and USB 3.0.

Had a quick look at reviews of the retailer and they seem to check out.
First post, so please dont form an angry mob and stone me to death if I do something wrong.

Can people who vote cold please state why, if you can find a better spec'd laptop for cheaper than this, then please share it because I will buy it. Infact just find a laptop with a sandy bridge i5 and USB 3.0 for cheaper and ill buy it.

might want to include the fact its got a decent gpu
geforce 540m (bit better than old xps15 i7 graphics)

Decent spec as thedoc says.

However Dell are doing a 17" Vostro 3750 with on-site warranty same CPU and W7 Pro but smaller HDD and integrated graphics for around the £550 mark with a £30 code on Quidco (plus another 10% cashback potentially).

Deal certainly doesn't deserve to be at -39.

I agree and £50 more Dedicated Nvida 1GB graphics and an upgraded HDD Is not that unreasonable...
I think integrated graphics with a otherwise powerfull machine is a bit of a let down if you ask me, but thats just my opinion.

The price is actually £599.98 (Reduced from £599.99!!!).

Deal doesn't deserve to be cold; although I'd hope to get more from £600 that's probably unrealistic

Cold for me as it’s only £572 delivered at ballicom.
