Yes they are a very good company to deal with, have bought a lot of stuff of them and delivery is usually very fast. I think they are very big in Europe and have only recently started to trade in the UK.

ordered one of these from cdiscount last month, all i can say is that i am VERY happy with this laptop. it delivers more than you'd expect, in quality, and in performance. and ive prob spent about £1500 with cdiscount since their launch in december, great customer service and delivery.

wonder why it shows on the front page of the website at £399?...or is that a different one? for the spec anyway....sounds good

looks like it has come down to £399 great price

just ordered 1 for my daughter, hope its ok, does any1 have any views/reviews on these?

I want one! H&R

i used quidco at 3.5% and freedelivery code should make it around £385

Bought one of these before, its been the same price on there since day 1.

Thread where I made the purchase from (including £50 credit vouchers) and yeh they had the wrong gfx specs up as well (£20 credit vouchers). Good deal I know, until my back light went and I had to send it to Acer for repairs. Still its a good lappy for the £400 mark.…554

does it have a DVD writer. The specs doesn't say anything about the writer, so I assume it might not have a DVD writer.

Yeah it does have a DVD writer.

Used it as well to make the recovery DVD as they aren't supplied.

Thanks nadzzz,

I just noticed the same model is selling at Bargain Crazy for £299. However being the same model there are few differences in the specs. like
T5750 vs T5550 processor
4GB vs 2GB memory
different graphics etc.

Yeh be very careful about this. That same model has quite a few different specs. You can see them all on the Acer site. Even cdiscount got it wrong as can be seen by the mess in the previous link I posted.

The one @ cdiscount is - Aspire 5920G - 6A4G25Mi…167

There was even an exact same model but with one difference - a blu-ray drive. @ cdiscount for £460ish....
