Brilliant spec for a tad over £500!

Absolutely great price, save on laptops have 1 in stock, hot as hell, only issue is the OS, get a copy of 64bit Windows 7 and this is a little gaming machine

A very good laptop, it's what I'm using now. I paid £535 for mine about 7 months ago and upgraded it to Windows 7 for free (well, £12 admin fee).

If I could go back though, I'd have probably left it running Vista. I have sound issues and an internal microphone that refuses to work now.

That said, it's got everything I could want from a laptop and more.

Good spec and price, although I'm still baffled as to why they put in a pathetic 320gb hard disk...

I bought one of these last time the offer came around. It's a great machine. Had no problems with it at all. Only downside is that it is a really big screen so wouldn't recommend it as one for travelling with.

Superb spec for the price.

For this money, I would want an i5
Not voted but do not think that it is hot.

A year ago maybe, now not so much

Davidben83- seriously? A 17.3inch Intel i5 with blu ray and a dedicated graphics card for £500?? Where to?

I'm sorry but there is absolutely nothing which will work with vista and not work with windows 7, absolutely nothing.

expired?

dam that was fast.

Expired but typical kinda deal on Dell Outlet

Not blu-ray but better processor, Windows 7 & £60 cheaper

Personally, this would be better for me

No Graphics card on that though David? Since Windows 7 pretty much runs off the Graphics card and not the CPU like Vista - would that not be slightly useless?

Great laptop. Been using it to autotune the X Factor auditions.

Because it is Dell Outlet, they often do not give you complete details of specs. Indeed, you can often find that you have a better PC then you expected. Anyway, this model typically comes with
512MB4 ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330 as per Dell site.

You scare me. Please tell me you're not in IT.

not a bad deal for bargain crazy, how about just poisting the good ones and not the random chaff of the day?

I think he means that Win7 is very graphics intensive so a good cpu will not help if the gpu is rubbish

but windows 7 runs better on a similar system than vista, everyone knows that! Never heard than 7 is more graphically intensive than vista anyway.

I agree. Just trying to help him out

Great laptop, anyone know how to add second hard drive though? It has an extra bay but it is unusable pretty much - apart from that the last 6 months have been great, it can pretty much max out empire total war and it can rape cod mw2. The sound is also amazing.

reidy-

I meant it uses the Graphics resources instead of the CPU for all the fancy stuff...obviously not It stores it instead of the hard drive or acts like the RAM and what not.....im not stupid.

does any1 know what graphics card this has? on acer website its shows up different to what it says on amazon
