If you were replying to me, I removed my comment, while the tesco one has the exact same model number it only comes with a 500gb hd while your deal is a 1tb hd, which I think is worth the extra £20.

Seems a good deal for the price, for anyone looking for a basic laptop

Is this anygood for every day computing, web browsing. NO heavy duty games - possiably online ones and photo and video viewing?

You should be fine with this for what your needs are. Though I would recommend increasing the RAM if it's straight forward depending on how many photos you are planning to tweak etc.
More details on the cpu here.

Duplicate thread. I posted this earlier and it got cold...strange

Ordered, thanks

Thanks for the post. I'm thinking of going for this. I hope it's not too heavy?

this model es1-512-c59l doesn't come with a dvd-rom? strange I know as it appears to be standard on the same laptop model at Tesco.

Will this laptop run league of legends smoothly?

No stock anywhere near me

No, This is not a laptop to play games. Its for general pc use. You wont get a gaming laptop for £200.
Theres not a decent GPU, just the stock GPU that comes with the motherboard.

Having bought this laptop I can confirm that the DVD drive on this model (with 1TB memory) is a dummy drive so no, this model will not play DVD unless you plug in an external drive. This should really have been made clear by Currys and though they represent on their webpage that this model comes with PowerDVD, this is also not true.
