I'm looking for two laptops, one cheaper e.g. this one or less, and one for gaming so let me know how hot this deal is and if there's better.

Spotted this after getting an email for currys promoting this at £449, price checked and it's £399 bought down to £359 with 10% code DXHW10 on dixons.co.uk

Can get a bundle with MS Office home and student 2010 and the laptop for £413

Key features;

15.6"
quad core AMD phenom II X4 N930 2Ghz
Windows 7 64 Bit Home Premium
3GB Memory (DDR 3)

I posted a cheap i3 laptop deal a few days ago but your gaming lappy comes down to your budget...
The MSI GX660R seems to be the best sub-£1000 gaming laptop imo.

Same machine that is sold in argos here for £400. Read a thread about it here: hotukdeals.com/dea…992 and the processor is faster than some intel i5s and i7s:

Hot deal but I don't need a laptop

for gaming laptop my budget is about 500-600.

Cold voters on the £359 - please let me know where I can get something better value for an entry level laptop that will be good for 2-3 years?

Won't get much of a gaming gpu for that sort of budget.

Indeed.
If your budget is that low, I'd get an entry level i3 desktop & stick a £100-£200 GPU in it.
