Acer Aspire One - £199 @ Argos

Found 2nd Dec 2011
Was going to buy this today for MIL and found it reduced to £199 a much better deal. May not suit everyone but as a half way house between netbook and laptop for surfing the net it will do the job.

Some of the reviews are quite funny. Why do people always complain about memory and screen size when they can see what they are buying from the descriptions. Its not that hard to look, and decide if it fits your needs is it?

Been waiting for a deal on a decent netbook for about £150, but hasn't been many decent deals of late.
Currently £10 voucher with £100+ spend & quidco which will bring it down to £184.
Tempted....

Shame about the battery life (3.5 h) but I guess that's the trade off for the larger screen.

Just reserved one! Thank you OP!

got 2,good spotting op thanks

+1 - Is there a discount code to be applied or a different link to go to or is the discount applied at checkout? Thanks

Was £199 last night. Now looks like it has gone ( item 5086380 ).

Yes just looked on the main site and is now £250. Must have finished.

I a have got one reserved with £199 in Torquay
If interested write on [email protected]gmail.com
cheers

Damn it - 199 is a cracking price for this netbook!
Hopefully it will come back down again in the coming days...

Had 2 of these and both are now mouse-mats, also have another 6 month old Acer that needs to go back.

3 out of 3 crap products for me and I've vowed never to buy another product from this company.

These are 1 year throw away machines.

Not voting either way, just telling of my problems I've had.

Interested to know if it was this exact model you had (i.e. 722 with the AMD dual core processor) and, if so, what specific problems did you have that turned them into mouse mats?

You will have to pay full price when you pay in store not £199

Well don't have this one but we have its little brother the 522 with the c-50 processor. Apart from its lost about 20% off its original battery life since we had it (about 7 months now I think) all works as it did when we got it and it gets used a lot ( like 10 hours a day). The only anoying thing for me is the US keyboard, but thats only because ours is from the US.

No probs mate

According to the small print, the price you pay is the price it is on the day & not the price you reserved it at! Luckily they honoured it for me though, that's my daughter's main Christmas prezzie sorted now!

I reserved this Item & was informed it was £249.99 when I went collect, after the going to talk to her supervisor/manager the £199.99 price was honoured.
The search for my 9 yr old son's christmas present is finally over!
