Sorry but price cannot be shown with Quidco included. You can say that there is a possible £40 off using Quidco, but it can never be guarenteed so discount cannot be included in price.

Not me, those are the HUKD rules ;-)

20%quidco. i thought it was usually 10% but they have offered 15% until 12th jan (today) where did you see 20%. hope you dont have a problem with your order like i have. took 3 days to respond to an email i sent them and they requested more information. so probably another 3 days now to wait. i contacted them about their price match, again 2 days to respond asking for more information then another 2 days to tell me that the other merchants price had gone up. nice delay tactics. worst customer service i have ever experienced!

Its just showing up as 20% on the quidco best buy page, its not a particular deal! I've also had my tracking email come through with £40 - so fingers crossed!

I've never purchased from best buy before, so unfortunately can't really comment, but deffo sounds delay tactics with the price match! Hopefully my order will go smoothly!

Quidco 20%
Topcashback 20.2%

yeh just seen the 20% would be tempted if they sorted my problem out quicker. good luck

great deal imo, just bought this - and i'm not one to spend £160 all in one go!

easily the best netbook i've seen for this price in the last month of hunting.

Actually a possible 22.5% if you scroll down a bit.

I think the 2.5% on VAT means they never increased prices to the new rate.

Just as a note, does anyone know if Best Buy apply Quidco rates including or excluding VAT?

Ive signed up to quidco, chosen the 20% cashback and 2.5 VAT. But its not giving me a code and not showing a discount in the basket.

What am I doing wrong??

Blurb on bestbuy says it's 720p screen, yet reviews suggest 1024 x 600 - anyone know the "truth"

does this have HDMI?

clear as mud on googling the model!

Shame really, I thought this company would have took a lot of Pc world and Currys customers, but they need to be better than them not the same

If its anything like my Acer notebook then its 1024x600, anyway with an Atom CPU and no dedicated video card you are not going to be able to play any HD video no matter what.

good price, wish pay day was closer

Dell Mini 1012's in the Outlet look like better deals potentially. Less quidco, but better spec'd imo...

all i keep hearing from people is how bad bestbuy is, in the US i used them a lot, but over here there customer service is terrible and people keep moaing at them what gives?

Cheers order (left my wife's NC10 out in the rain a few months ago and she's been banging on about a replacement since then, hopefully this will shut her up, but it probabily won't ;-) )

I've not had a problem with BestBuy, ordered a few things from them. Deliveries always turned up when they should, so I have not had any dealings with Customer Services.

However, despite all the cashbacks tracking, not a single one has yet validated, and some of them go back to last November. I won't be impressed if they don't pay out. I know cashback isn't guaranteed but at 15% or more it's a deal breaker. Without that cashback most of their prices are average or expensive.

purchased an em350 on 10-01-10 saved 15% cashback via quidco

an little annoyed missed out on an further 5% more cashback but not bothered.

From a brief comparison of the specs of this deal with the one you posted above, this deal has one extra USB port [3] and twice as much battery life [8]
Edit: Also, your machine apparently weights 2.5kg and this deal is "just over 1 kg".

Quidco tracking mine already, fingers crossed it pays out (Quidco tracking Copy&Paste below):

Worse battery, and one less USB port. I think I'd pay the extra for the 8 hour battery myself, but thats just personal choice.

i noticed that some buyers think they get an voucher for cashback - i think i will explain how it works

1. register on cashback site ie quidco.com
2. via quidco website type in ie best buy
3. click on cashback link to web site
4. quidco will load best buy website
5. make an purchase as normal
6. quidco will trace purchased
7. once quidco have traced purchased the ammount of cashback shows on quidco
8. once cashback had been awarded you can transfer to bank ( takes an while )

hope this helps someone

i purchased this recently and must say was suprised as its not that bad, made by acer. i wanted an cheap one for my mother - nothing to complicated and it fits that requirement.

i purchased the d255 on christmas day which has 8 hour battery and 250gb hdd and win 7 and google which is better

i think it depends on what you needed it for, i looked online and was an bit concerned thaty people didnt trust best buy - this is my second purchased in less than an month and i received very good customer service so recommend

for anyone reading this

if your going to buy for an child or mum or dad then the emachines em350 @ £ 179.99 will be ok

for an adult get this acer or better

It's about £60 quid more assuming best buy bother to verify the quidco.

Well without the quidco seems a much better deal.

Bestbuy , worst customer service ever. Bought a fridge freezer from them advertised as having a ice and water dispenser - it didn't. Asked to return it day after delivery. Over 20 very long phone calls and numerous emails, they finally picked it up. 3 weeks later i am still waiting for a refund. Visa investigating. Buyers beware

Description up the top says WSVGA. WSVGA is either 1024x576 or 1024x600 depending on where you look. Which is rather unhelpful. 1024x576 seems pretty poor.

Try reading text at 1080p on a 10" screen!

On bestbuy site, they have an eMachines eM350 Netbook - Intel Atom, 160GB, 1GB Memory just above the Acer, is that a just as good machine at £179.99, its cheaper and still get 20%. Please advise a novice.

Also, the Acer has software included but requires a 'product key' to be purchased. How much does this add? Does the emachines come with software included?
Again please advise before I decide which one to purchase via quidco.

Great deal if the quidco cashback pays out, but somehow doubt it will.
