IMO if it had XP and 1gb RAM you would be onto a winner for the majority.

As it is this has to be a good deal all things considered:

Beat me to it. Just bought msi wind with 1GB and xp for 249 at argos and thought that was slightly too much but had 135 in nectar points to use. Ok if it's what you want but wouldn't consider it worth posting personally. Again not voted as I don't think it's a bad deal either.

i think its a bargin for ppl wanting non xp computers. and 1gb ram on xp is same as 512mb on a linux pc

Please don't be offended, I emphasise it is my opinion. I suppose my ignorance of Linux doesn't help my cause either. There is an AOA with 16gb SSD for £179 on pcworld. Sorry on iPhone so not so easy to check out at mo.

For £20 more you can get 1GB ram with XP from Tesco.

But that could be used as drinking money! ;-) Seriously though this is not a bad deal all in all, especially if you have an unused Windows license free or a copy of the Windows 7 Beta if you want to go down the Windows route.

If you want to stick to Linux the Acer Aspire One User Community has a large support basis for the bundled customised Linux distribution that it comes with but also support for other popular Linux distributions out there.

Cheers, Scotty Boy!
