THIS MUST BE THE CHEAPEST N280 OR DECENT SPEC NETBOOK AVAILABLE

ITS BACK DOWN TO £199.99 AGAIN - THE PRICE I POSTED IT AT A FEW DAYS AGO - BEFORE IT UPPED TO £219.99, THEN SOMEONE EXPIRED IT TWICE WHILE THERE WAS STILL "more than 200 in stock for next day delivery" - SO I AM REPOSTING MY OWN DEAL!

ONLY DOWNSIDES, NO N WiFi, 3 CELL BATTERY, 533 MEMORY IS ASYNCHRONOUS WITH 667 PROCESSOR, STANDARD GRAPHICS, LOWER RES CAM, NO BLUETOOTH OR 3G (BUT YOU WOULD BE LOOKING AT DOUBLE THE PRICE FOR ALL THAT - AND WOULD BE LIKELY TO UPGRADE THE MEMORY ANYWAY)

WAS ORIGINALLY £199.99 - BUT INCREASED BY £20 AFTER POSTED HERE - BUT STILL A GOOD PRICE

I never expired it - but someone has been expiring my deals today - and the comments on the previous thread were already messy as they were initially about the £199.99 price - then the £219.99 price.

It had also been expired twice while still showing stock - so here's hoping this one wont get the same grief.

good price, voted hot

Good price, pity about the 3 cell battery, voted hot though

nice price!

Good deal, but just a general point, I think £150-200 is teh price these net books shoudl be anyway bearing in mind the power of laptops in the sub £300 range. I think netbooks have just launched overpriced. This is a good price though so thanks to the finder.

Hot – good price. I went for the MSI Wind at Argos myself but only because I want to run OSX on it. Though I think this Acer is better for the money because of the faster processor.

Why not just un-expire your original deal then?.

Given that Windows 7 is now released - Does anyone think the price could drop further??

Very nippy, got it the last time this was posted. Battery life isn't good but it's mostly used for net browsing in the house so not a huge issue.

If you want a good battery, go for the ASUS EEE 1005HA
best battery life for a bit more.

Bought it last week.Nice netbook.Doesn't ship with any media,so you will have to make a copy of the Acer recovery for future use if things go wrong.

The price of netbooks has risen dramatically in the last 6 months. I think prices will remain stable untill a big fall early next year.

Yeah agreed they'll wait til after crimbo to start putting it down

I thought Ebuyer deals were not allowed due to self promotion recently.

I nearly brought this but quiet a few people complain about the mouse pad not working... not a great reason I suppose but I read a few of start up issues. Lookin at one reviwer/blog I read that they had 2 more D150 and then D250 and they had no issues with that model. I found it cheap on pre order through Amazon for £280 with 6 cell battery and Win7... due mid November.. still a great price though

Hi, This is my first post and im new to all this, not really much of a computer person, but could someone tell what you mean by no N wifi? Sorry if its a stupid question... Thanks in advance

Brilliant - an 'anarchist' that adheres to the conventions punctuation.

So basically a hypocrite - or what rhymes with "Prosser"

Try posting a deal rather than oretending you're an English teacher Mr Prosser.

Yes - also USB 3 around Chistmas and the new generation of Atom processors at the start of the year. Combine this with the credit card bills hitting the hall mat at the end of February - and I bet those of this ilk will be £150 by then.

N wifi = the newest type. - This means when used with an N type router it will have far greater range, better connections, and use less power than the previous ones (G was the last standard - but you will still see B too - they worked at 54MHz and 11MHz respectively - although some also had "+" which meant faster)

If you are using the netbook in the same room as the router but cannot run a cable over the room - even an old B standard would be fine for most connections - but becomes less use with distance and walls.

Anyone having problems with this freezing?

Mine has started freezing almost as soon as I boot it up. I've tried restoring XP, no change.
It works in safe mode.
Acer forums discuss similar problems but no definite solutions.

Just wondered if anyone else solved it.
