[FONT=Verdana]That's a decent price, especially with this having a six cell battery - other deals for 10" plus Acer Aspire One Netbooks (equipped with three cell batteries) have been going for £229.00p upwards based upon recent deals posted in HotUKDeals.

N280 and 6 cell battery, good price.

Good deal, dude, but McAfee Internet Security will slow it down to a crawl - should be the first thing on your uninstall list if you buy this.

If it is 6 cell it is a great price. However, this review concerns me... I wonder if they got it from an Amazon marketplace seller?

Lavi - ]See all my reviews The laptop itself is fantastic and the keyboard doesn't take that long to get used to. All in all worth 5 stars if it had completely matched the description. The problem is that in the description it says that it would come with the 4400 mAh battery. Mine however came with a standard 2200 mAh one.

it is the 6 cell please check other reviews

I've just got one of these delivered on behalf of a relative who's bought it for his daughter's (age 10) Xmas present and wanted me to get it up and ready to be used straight away when she gets it. It has been driving me mad.

It has loads of unwanted free trial software pre-installed on it. Google this and that. McAfee trial, Office trial etc etc. I've spent two days trying to uninstall it all and install AVG. It has hung so many times. I've had in safe mode half the time as it wouldn't boot up. System restored 5 times. Finally I've got it nearly working but the first Windows update has been fraught with stress as it kept locking up.

Stick with Dell - at least it all works straight off.

I'm confused about the Intel Atom N280 Processor shouldn't that be 270 or am i missing something as its a single core 1.6ghz CPU i wouldn't touch this with a 10ft barge pole 6cell or not the MSI wind from Argos is a way better machine at £199 it comes with a 2year warranty the entire bottom removes with 9 screws allowing you to upgrade any part including the CPU where the Acer has to be stripped to the bone. The MSI supports factory overclocking to 1.9-2.0ghz with a 2 button combo and last but not least its not Acer with there rubbish build quality and lockups.

Acer netbooks are the worst junk there is as previous posts mentioned the Wind was a breeze very little rubbish to remove runs super cool that's why MSI allow and encourage you to overclock it and never latched once even when i was creating a backup over the network from it with Acronis. I'd put the £39.99 you save with the MSI and buy a 6 or 9cell battery and have a machine that is one of the best netbooks there is.
