Feeling hot hot hot..

Hot

Don't need one yet want to order one, brilliant price!

Dual core netbook, nice price. Hot!

As long as your eyes can handle it, netbooks are so darned handy. A shame it's only 1GB, but apparently it is possible to upgrade it to 2GB. (I recently did this with my MSI Wind U135DX.)

Ooooo.... HDMI out too. Really quite nice for a netbook.

great find, hot!

Very good! I love my old Acer Aspire One without HDMI or dual core CPU. Use it all the time for web browsing.

This sounds great. HDMI makes it a mobile media player too.

Hmmm very tempted,£127.49 With my discount.

So great price.£149.99 is beyond my imagination.

great price. The only issue is its 1GB RAM.
I did have an acer netbook before and in-order to replace/upgrade RAM, its hell of a job. I had to open each and every part of the PC, though at last worked.

But great piece of kit for 150 quid.

If upgraded to 2gb ram could it run photoshop now and again and Microsoft office ?

Anyone know if this will be any good at streaming live football?

Of course...

Cheers just bought one for uni!

It is a very basic package, but will do the job fine as long as you don,t ask it to do too much at the same time. Basic web browsing, basic word procesing as long as u bo,t get carried away. Good price would do the kids to do homework on. Has hdmi which is a big bonus as u coulg hook it upto the big tv.. Hot for me..

and blue is here sainsburys.co.uk/sol…tml

even though Sainsbury's dont mention it, the three models they are selling come with 6-cell batteries, promising 8 hours battery life

click on white one .. click add to basket .. then buy

Good deal but any chance the picture can be changed as the red model actually has an 8 hour battery life where as the others only have 4 (according to the spec on other sites).

I had one if the first generation Acer Aspire Ones. Also at the time for £150

Totally replaced my high spec desktop and big laptop.

Great buy at this price!

But my Acer is now replaced by an iPad which has now taken first place in our home.

bargain!

Can these run lovefilm ok, my current atom 1.6. Single core is not good

Its a good price, but take it from someone with a netbook and nettop, the atom processor is slow as molasses, i get fscked off with my 2gb netbook (easy upgrade) when doing even websurfing.

and regarding streaming/lovefilm - don't expect anything much certainly not hd, even the nettops with nvidia ion graphics can't manage that due to how crap flash is on them, and these will have intel integrated gma950's i expect, making them pretty naff as media players too.

you'd actually get better performance out of and android tablet than this. but realistically you'd be infinitely better off getting a laptop or desktop unless low power and portability are key and you only do basic stuff on them (forget games).

The Acer Aspire One D270 won't impress anyone with its performance. Intel's new N2600 processor is only slightly faster than the old Atom N550 - enough for basic Office work, web surfing, and music and (standard definition) movies, but that's about it.

The D270 does score a win with its impressive battery life, particularly under load (344 minutes). Other major benefits include Bluetooth 4.0, great thermals and noise levels, and a non-glare screen with just enough brightness to be functional outdoors.

The netbook-standard 10.1 inch screen, with its low 1024 x 600 resolution and poor contrast, is a crippling disability for all but the most basic of tasks. The onboard Intel graphics is another sore spot, particularly with the availability of far more capable E-series processors from AMD. Netbooks based on E-series chips, such as the Asus Eee PC 1015B, provide better performance at the cost of moderately lower battery life.

You know the tradeoff: if the standard limitations of a netbook - chiefly the poor, low-res screen and paltry performance, are deal-breakers for you, the D270 and Cedar Trail platform will do nothing to change your mind. But if you can live with those limitations, the D270 is an excellent contender for EUR 300 ($400 USD).

Yeh staff discount, currently 15% till sept 9th

Excellent price for a dual core net book. Paid the same for my emachines E350 about 18 months ago. Upped the RAM to 2GB, was simple to do and made a big difference, would recommend if it's straightforward for this model.

Hot from me too. I ordered the white and cant wait for it to come. I think the price is too good to miss.

Ordered the aqua one, couldn't refuse at this price, used £10 nectar points on it aswell. So £117.49!
Currently got an old asus netbook, time for an upgrade
