Purchased one of these with the £100 quidco cashback offer. So paid £99!
Good machine for £99 but don't think it's worth more than £120.
Also upgrading to windows 10 can be a headache, I managed to successfully upgrade to Windows 10 after following the instructions on the previous deal posted.

Agree, I was not that impressed, at £99 its worth it. not sure I would pay any more after handling one.
Likewise got mine for £99. Ok but trackpad is a bit noisy.
Didn't have any problems upgrading to W10 once I stuck an SD card in it.
I was very interested a £50 marks and spencer voucher would be good, a Microsoft voucher does not float my boat

Links for your Quidco Deal please? + previous HUKD Detailing how to upgrade this to Windows 10?, thanx. :-)
For a laptop the HD screen may be ok, but for tablet use you really want FHD resolution. Add the mediocre specs, and it still seems expensive.

I had one and sold it twice. The first time it came back on account of it being terrible. Just don't buy this.

i upgraded just by adding an external hard drive (the 32gb emmc isn't big enough to take the win10 download) and then just made sure it downloaded to it... once you delete the saved v.8.1 temp files, it works fine... for all i know it'd work with a 64gb micro sd card too (which i now have instead of all that ssd mularkey).

only things wrong with it are:

microsoft techs won't know what you're talking about if you say 'signature edition' and they all give different answers to your questions...
the screen is so chunky it's top heavy when using and pulls the keyboard over
windows 10 is a wee bit temperamental on this (
my speakers are dead and i have to send it off to acer for a repair...

other than that, the magnetic catches are a novelty (although the keys slipped off once when i was carrying it around by the screen so, don't get cocky).

worth 120... definitely not more...

Is this deal still around?

Nope it has expired
So don't need it, so don't know how to justify it, so why do I have the breaking strain of a kitkat when it comes to this site.
Got this before on the £99 quidco deal. It's a worthless device imo. Even at the £99 they were charging. The fact that every time you moved the screen/tablet the entire keyboard moved with it, and that it's about a whole inch thick for very low spec. Would drop about £70 on it, nothing more. Better off with a chinese tablet with a keyboard combo.
Unless maybe considering putting something really lightweight like a Linux distro and you can get it flying, then it would be good for a student.

I also brought it for £99 with cashback. Great little device but I would not pay more than £120.

I got the same deal - can only agree with what has already been said about this.
*Still* on the hunt for a "must buy" tablet with decent speakers
I also got this for £99 last year. I get a lot of use from it owing to its portability. The screen quality is good - I don't feel it suffers from not being FHD - and bright, Windows 10 runs well once you get it installed (although I can't update it without sticking in a USB drive as I don't have enough space left on its internal storage), the battery is great, and it functions well as a (chunky) tablet. For less than £100 it was a great piece of kit. However, it is top heavy, it doesn't look great, and the keyboard/trackpad is woeful. I find most of the time when I try to click and drag it locks the cursor up and I have to tap the screen to get it moving again. This means if you're trying to drag and drop, or select sections of text, you have to use the clumsy touchscreen method or use a mouse. The keyboard section is plasticky, noisy and cheap, and the frustration of using it puts me off recommending the Switch. At £150 I would try a system where the manufacturer maintains reasonable standards across all aspects of the machine.

Get £30 cash back from Quidco also ( Expires in 2 days)
These hybrid devices are great companion systems. For maybe 10% of my use I do need the 4gb of ram my Dell Venue 11 has, but for the other 90% 2gb would be ample. Full HD is nice, but as it's scaled to 150% anyway not essential on this size of screen.

As something I can lay in bed with, throw in a back pack and hand around to other people, £150 is a great price where you can forgive it's low spec short comings. It is as I said a great companion device, I wouldn't live which such a low spec system as my only device, maybe not even as my only mobile device but at these prices now it's a great as a beater device you aren't stressing over picking up marks, bumps and scratches.
On Quidco it says there's £30 cashback for the next two days. Is the £30 already being deducted or is another £30 on top bringing it down to £119?
Can you add a SSD into the keyboard side, which on other models have a 500gb HDD
I've had one since the £99 quidco deal and if you can be bothered with the faff to get Windows 10 installed then I still think it's worth this new price as ours has been pretty much faultless.
the screen is soooo much heavier than the keyboard so it tips over when used as a normal netbook... the touch pad is extremely plasticky and clicky... and you'll get no nelp from microsoft store or tech support or acer to upgrade it... but, as someone else said, stick a 64gb micro sd in it and download to it and you'll get win10 easily and without all the techno mumbojumbo that nerds love layering on the simplest task... (imoe)
Picked up one of these and have to say it works great. Windows 10 was easy enough to install so not sure if something has been updated to make the upgrade work better since people were having trouble a few months ago - although could still be fluke! basically just pressed back at the 'need xx GB to install' screen and selected to keep nothing.
out of deal now £179.99 please expire
