You really don't need them. Buy a USB one if you need one...
Nice if I could of watched bluerays on it
Even better if I could play some 8mm movies
Shame it doesn't play betamax.
no minidisc. cold.
Seriously, no floppy disc?
Meh,no Laserdisc,I'm out
Would expect a serial port at this price
No PS/2 port, ewww.
How am I meant to use MSN if it doesn't have a modem built in? Cold.
Just a quick word of warning, had one of these and hard drive failed...that happens, can't blame Acer for that. However, replacing the drive is a nightmare involving taking the entire thing apart. Google it and see....compared to other brands that have accessible drives removing just a simple cover, I'd avoid this one for that reason alone. Deal is good, laptop....not so much! Oh, and no 56k modem. Shocking (_;)
No 8 inch floppy (oo er) for compatibility with DEC PDP-10 Mainframe. Unbelievable!
Wot no punched card reader? Freezing
No magnetic tape drive - Cold!
cold...not Moto G....

I'm sure I got this a few months ago for £179 but had to return it as was faulty
cold... not full HD (_;)

not a bad deal. Heat.
I bought this in the end and have been using it for 2 weeks now. Here are some observations:

The installed windows 8 (not 8.1) and Acer bloatware is awful. I used it for no more than 1 hour before I nuked it and put on a fresh 8.1 pro + latest drivers = Much better I really cant stress just how unpleasant to use the supplied software made it to use. Really slow.

Its a bit flimsy. Peeling off the screen edge protective film lifted the bezel off the screen a good 10mm in places (returned by itself fine). Its not awful build quality, it just feels a bit delicate. Much of this is due to Acer's efforts to keep it below 1" thick as the 'thin and light' decal boast's.

Track pad has no buttons. Instead it pivots at each lower corner for button press's. This is an awful idea during real world use.

To access the HDD and RAM you have to remove the entire base (approx. 15 screws + clips on edge). No biggie but might put some people off.

Ram and Processor are soldered to the mobo. there is 1x empty RAM slot.

You Must use 7mm thick HDD's. The more common 9mm drives are too thick. They will go in if you remove the felt strips and don't ming the base bulging.

==============================

Ive added another 4GB RAM (8GB total) and a Samsung 850 Evo SSD + Fresh 8.1 Pro and I'm very happy with it Out of the box its far from great.
