Yes but the eBay description says 1080p native which is very wrong.

Max supported resolution I guess, upscaled from 480p

It's says native 1080p
480p looks awful on my 7 inch picture frame, let alone a 30 inch protected image

It may only be as 'good' as the Anker Nebula, but it is just one third of the price ...

I'm actually interested, but the killer for me is if you can use it while charging...
A couple of people on Amazon suggest you can, but there's multiple whinges on the web of people complaining that you can't.

Can you give any update?

That's what I was confused about but Ebuyer on Amazon said you could...if you can't I might send back but here's hoping. Obviously the quality is limited, but for a dark bedroom will be absolutely fine.

The ebay page just says 1920x1080, which it does support, but it's not native.

I know it's not 1080 native , but the eBay description says 1080 native in plain text, which is dodgy

Oh yeah it does under Item specifics.

This is Argos. How technical do you think their eBay disposals people might be? More likely daft than dodgy!

Just Projectors review on the Acer C101i
The C101i is not a bright projector and only has 150 lumens so you will have to project with the light completely off. It is not suitable for a large or medium sized audience as it is not powerful enough; it is for personal use, maybe watching something on a slightly bigger screen. There are other mobile projectors out there which are a lot brighter but they are slightly heavier. This will give you more freedom in where you can project and to a larger audience.

Is there anything projector wise that's OK that's less that £100? (It's for my son who wants to hook it up to his xbox for gaming and some films etc in his bedroom.) Thanks

tempted to get one, i know the contrast will be a bit weak, but thats the downside of single LCD

ideally i would like an optoma DLP , but cheapest ive seen is about 380

You may be right, but when it shows 4800 lumens (a proper projector of this brightness is well over £500) do you really believe the rest of the specs?

See the price here, the comments and the specs, this is only 2400 lumens. This should give you an idea of the Chinese ones.

Plenty Chinese ones but claiming unrealistic specs. I suggest to look at branded ones on eBay, you can get a used LG for about £100.

You are obsessed with the brightness, they are plenty bright enough. It's the contrast they fail mostly at. I have one , I want a DLP one but they cost a lot more.

Is not an obsession, I don't think you get it. I am talking about how can you trust a seller who makes up specs. The brightness is completely irrelevant, but if they lie about this, why should they not lie about something else?
Anyway, it's ultimately up to you, brightness is not everything, but if you get one with 720 native resolution and 100 lumens you can't do much with it.

Thanks for that, might be useful then.
Wow someone spent 10 grand buying them up, lol.

I saw that! They definitely aren't being sold on....
Received mine today, it's going back before I've even powered it up - really nasty rattling noise from inside, like the battery has come loose or something.

Received mine today and haven't got a rattle - just a faint fan sound.
