I think this is a great deal - thanks OP - bought

shame it does not have VESA . .

Incredible deal! This is how much I paid for my Acer 27" 2k monitor. But I regret nothing as my PC can't handle 4k
Hope this is a legit deal and not a pricing error

it was for 269 at the same retailer a couple of week ago.

Good deal op

It's been cheaper recently, but it's still a good deal.

I bought it from BT for £269 few weeks ago. Really good monitor. Can't fault it. Good colours. VESA. Not bad response. Lag not too bad but not great. Good view angles. I'm happy with this purchase and running games at 4k is fantastic.

It does have VESA. I have one of them at home hanging on the wall.

Seems like a great deal, especially given that its an IPS panel. Thanks for posting! Been using a 4K display at work recently and going back to a normal one at home seems like such a downgrade so can't wait to take delivery of this tomorrow, hopefully will be great for photo editing and coding due to the size and resolution.

I bought this a few weeks ago for slightly more, and I'm very happy with it.

only slight negatives for me are that it takes a while to turn on - 10 seconds or so and windows boots up quicker for me.

the other is that I think the backlight is uneven, with both bottom corners brighter than the screen overall. It's not noticeable to me when I'm actually using it, only when it turns on and it's an entirely black screen or perhaps in a completely dark room, so not a major issue for me. I suspect others may be more put off about it though. Of course I may have had a bad unit, and it's not bad enough to promote me to go through returns etc

for me, those are minor issues and I'm very happy with it.

More generally about 4k, if you play any games you'll need a very good graphics card, or dial down the resolution. Of course once you're used to the sharpness of 4k on a 28" screen, dropping the resolution sticks in the throat a bit! oh, and if you have other monitors next to it, they'll suddenly start to look blurry in comparison...

Just 1 HDMI port on this?

First impressions are great. Nice colours, and very sharp - almost as good as my MacBook screen. The monitor design is plain and unobtrusive which is how I like it. A steal at this price IMO.

Note that if you are on a MacBook, you'll need a Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable (not included) to get full res at 60hz. 30hz isn't fun. I purchased this cable and it works perfectly, you can choose screen resolution just as you can for the MacBook display: amazon.co.uk/gp/…1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1474653696&sr=8-2π=SY200_QL40&keywords=startech+mini+displayport&dpPl=1&dpID=41xf1RsZXGL&ref=plSrch (available on prime now if, like me, you didn't realise you needed it until you got the display!)
