Chanchi has a habit of typing with the toes. But, as HUKD's Tesco expert I assume that...

The 1500 points will be converted to £15 vouchers after the current collection period which is the 22nd October. Depending on how you use them they can be worth up to £60 in rewards e.g. you can redeem £15 of Clubcard vouchers for £60 to spend at Pizza Express, Zizzi, Ask etc

More about redemption options here

Is there a code for the 1500 points plz

I'm using this model now to type this, I've had it several months. It's not a bad Chromebook, it's small and light which is a big plus, but can struggle with complex web pages. You cannot use these as you would a desktop, with lots of tabs open you often get pages like gmail crashing and needing to be reloaded.

Has anyone else noticed the screen resolution on the Tesco page?

The Acer CB3 (this model) is actually a backwards step in terms of performance since it uses a Bay Trail Celeron architecture, compared to the faster, more powerful Haswell Celeron architecture of the previous Acer 720 Chromebook.

In the benchmark from the guy in the article/video below for example, he gets a score of about 21,000 for the CB3 (Bay Trail) and the same spec Lenovo Chromebook (Bay Trail). I get 48,000 on my Acer 720 Chromebook (Haswell) and 68,000 on my Wintel i5 laptop.

Benchmark

I think Chromebooks are great - I use mine in preference to my Windows machines where I can as its so much snappier than the Windows clunkfest - but it is important to get the most powerful spec you can as they're not all created equal. I'd be tempted to go for a 4gb version such as the Toshiba if you're the sort of person that has a lot of media rich tabs open along with other apps.

Yup...was just about to post myself...wonder what the HD ready vs Full HD crowd is going to say about that????

Can't really complain at this price but I personally would go for a 4gb chromebook of you can afford it

Obviously...

A colleague advised the battery life on this is realistically only 1.5 hours. That's mental.

Many thanks, I can recommend it to a relative.

Then your colleague's an idiot. Easy 7-8 hours of real world usage on this. I get 6-7 hours on my Acer 720 Chromebook (which has slightly more powerful CPU) with brightness on maximum, WiFi running etc.

You can still order this until the 31st August but the bonus points offer has ended now - so have expired the post

I just picked mine up from my local Tesco today, seems pretty good - am typing the review from it! Miss having home/pg up/down keys on the keyboard though...
