This monitor is currently not in stock but you can order and they will give you an expected delivery date.

It's the lowest price I could find for such a large monitor with 2560x1440, IPS LCD and a reasonable 4ms. Currys is trying to sell it for ~£430.

There are no reviews on the Amazon website and most websites I find when searching are in Dutch. I read that it's not height adjustable.

Edit: when comparing other deals, note that EB321HQUA is WQHD and EB321HQU is FHD. I don't know what the difference is between EB321HQUAwidp and EB321HQUA.

wow, this looks immensely good for the price in terms of it's specs, heated! Whilst I actually choose a cheap 4K TV as a secondary monitor and for gaming, which was still slightly cheaper than this, if I had this open to me at the time I'd have probably picked it as it is a proper monitor and 1440p is a lot morr sensible resolution for all but the beefiest cards to drive....

Edit: scrap that WQHD is a bit more

amazon.de/gp/…c=1

I can't find any reviews other than those on amazon.de and some of the clouding looks awful

I'd be interested if anyone can find more details or an actual review as the price is great

ordered , cant go wrong at this price for a 31.5" WQHD IPS screen with 4ms , have had good experiences with previous Acer products so fingers crossed with this one.
Been on the look out for a new screen for a while to replace my ageing Dell 27" , currently able to display 1920x1200 so this should see a big improvement whilst giving me a little more real estate.
Just hoping my graphics card will handle it without too much fuss , its a Radeon R7 250x so I think I should scrape by

You can maybe order it from a Dutch website for €291,50 but I don't know what the postage would be: 4launch.nl/pro…ers - they also have it on backorder, I think.

Been keeping an eye on this for a while, its been out of stock for at least two months. Also seen the limited reviews showing backlight issues and decided against it due to being IPS and it being rather basic. In my opinion the Benq BL3200PT is a far better option with screen rotation, USB hub and VA panel. Its also well reviewed. Its only £40 more at Box.co.uk

Why is a VA panel better than IPS for you? My "understanding" was that IPS is the best LCD type for image and video editing due to better consistency of colour reproduction.

The box one you mention is showing as £70 more unless I'm missing an offer code or something?

Also not sure why you regard IPS as being bad? most people consider it the best type of screen technology you can have, better colour and viewing angles than TN they say, is there some other technology out now that trumps both of them?

Must say the Acer still seems a very solid screen for the price considering the size....

It depends what your after. VA has a much better native contrast ratio, IPS has better colour accuracy.

If yo go by ISF, contrast ratio is the biggest factor in picture quality followed by colour accuracy.

In my experience IPS panels have less of the things I hate (banding, clouds, DSE) so I personally would go for IPS until OLED pc monitors are readily available

The price has gone up on the BL3200PT since I posted, it was £339 when I checked earlier (still shows that price when you Google BL3200PT) but its now showing as £364 on Box's site - sorry.

As for my dislike for IPS - I've personally never been impressed with them. Every LED backlit consumer TV I've tried has had DSE, Clouding and the rather annoying IPS glow. When it comes to monitors most of the screens I've used had most of the above issues plus a rather harsh anti glare coating if the screen was matte. Comes down to personal preference, I don't doubt IPS has good colour accuracy etc but it has too many drawbacks for me. Given the choice, I'd rather have a quality TN screen over IPS if I had to choose between the two. Its VA and inky blacks all the way for me.

Its currently £359 on Box's ebay store, item 361899661901

VA blacker blacks, faster refresh
IPS better colours, better viewing angles

neither is better, its personal choice. gamers tend to prefer va, productivity and media IPS... I prefer ahva-ips, a fast IPS based tech that sits right between them great colours and fast but not quite VA fast and just a little less viewing angle than IPS. (see XFf270HU).

I tentatively placed an order on this as (potential) issues aside it seems an extremely good price for a monitor of this size. As there is no delivery date for it yet I should have plenty of time to decide whether to keep my order as usually Amazon will update with a delivery date some way in advance of shipping it, if indeed it ever comes back in at all.

If anyone else has ordered and got a date for it I'd be interested to know and am particularly interested in any reviews for this as searching around the internet is bringing up nothing, don't even seem to be any on eBay, well I think there was one foreign seller one but still odd that this monitor is so immensely unpopular, thought Acer was a big name.....

There are reviews on the German amazon.de

I ordered one a few days ago and I'm still waiting to hear from Amazon; I would really like to know whether this is genuinely just out-of-stock for a few weeks or whether there's some glitch that will keep it permanently in this state even though there's none coming. I also wonder if there's a backlog of orders that causes them to be shipped out as fast as they come in.

There's also a review from a Swedish forum here - Google translate is your friend:

sweclockers.com/for…hqu

Looks like it has a bit of edge bleed (see third page of forum for pics).

I've just bought one of these from £304 after cashback from Dabs.com/BT Shop. I will post a review when it arrives.

It's theoretically available for as little as £291 if you believe the item description here (which has a disclaimer against it)

This arrived, now set up...

on the plus side: the picture is pretty good, I don't see any of the light bleed issues in the Swedish review above. The backlight is consistent across the screen.

on the minus side: mine has an approx 1mm long bit of dust stuck inside the screen, in the top right corner. (it's not a dead pixel, it's more indistinct than that)

I don't game so I can't comment on its usefulness for fragging things.

Despite the bit of dust I think I'm going to keep it. Massive size for the money.

Mine arrived last week. I don't see any dust or dead pixels but I do see the light bleed when the monitor is displaying all black. Another thing that I really detest though is the Acer logo being displayed for about five seconds every time it turns on. It gets really old, really fast when you're used to just being able to use your PC immediately after turning on.
