Could anyone advise which I'd be better off with? (Although it's £50 more as previous offer code isnt valid) I will be using it for adobe programs and working from home

The one you posted is basically exactly the same but has a 15.6" screen compared to 14", and it doesn't have finger print sensor.
Just out of interest, what would anyone think about something like this or buying a quality used laptop like a Dell Latitude or ThinkPad with a similar spec.
There is also one other major difference not mentioned, the screen on the 14" one is IPS.
The screen on this one isn't IPS, instant cold from me.
This would otherwise be a good deal.
Anyone no if the Asus m409 has a spare ram slot

I’ve done this. Got myself a machine with an i5 8250u processor. Quad core. 16gb ddr4 ram. 500gb ssd. New battery put in as well. Thinkpad L480 with Windows 10 Pro.

Reviews were scarce and main complaints were of the quality of the screen in brightness, battery life and no backlight keyboard.

So far so good. Battery life has been pretty good so far. I appreciate the USB type C charging for sure in terms of future proofing and easy replacements available over proprietary barrel chargers. Screen is absolutely fine and whilst not uber bright like a MacBook or XPS series, the laptop I got isn’t remotely geared towards them.

Some Asus machines don't have upgradable ram, the ram is soldered in according to reviews. I've no idea about this one specifically.
