Isn't this a newer processor 8250u vs 8265u? And the lenovo is 256gb whereas this is 512gb to name the obvious.

I don't know if this is plastic or metal (most likely plastic) and whether it's got a backlit keyboard or not.

The speed difference of 8265u is only tiny.
Even with a 256GB, the Lenovo is better generally, it was a £699 laptop.
It has a great quality glossy IPS screen, TN on the Acer.
And full metal, maybe part metal with the Acer and non backlit.

I would go with the Acer myself, faster processor, twice as much Storage and I'm not a fan of glossy screens, Acer is maybe not quite as well built but will with stand the odd knock here and there.

Interesting! I'm still looking for a laptop just to do photo editing on..... Trying to look for a decent SSD and screen.... Would you recommend the Lenovo? Or do you think I should wait till black Friday?? X

Hi, I'd wait if you're not in a rush. The Lenovo has a very good display for editing family snaps but it's not professional enough I don't think.
