At that price what do you expect? Even if it was 144hz it would take a powerful graphics card to make best use of it. 1070 or 1080 Nvida card?

1060 would do it aswell, but your right need high end graphics card to run a 144hz to its limits
Plus this is a 1080p monitor.

Of course if you go higher end graphics you might want a 1440p monitor. Assuming you mainly use it for games. Remember videos on youtube likely still only run at 480p. Same for other stuff when browsing. Text too. So you do need to pick a monitor that best fits what you intend to do with it.

I am currently thinking 24inch 1080p monitor. I think I browse and play videos on youtube more than I play games. Albeit I am working through Warhammer 40,000 dawn of war the original game. For me my 1060 6gb graphics would need G sync to run games smoothly. Not sure that extra 100-200 quid will pay off for that.

Am I actually running any game over 60fps? In the future I might. Albeit at this price in 5 years would it really matter?

I was actually looking at the Asus VG24QE but this has no LED back lighting and uses PWM still so suffers from flickering.

The big issue for 27 inch is the expanded pixels at 1080p. Just need to work around this. Plus I am barely a metre from the screen. (I think if you read too many reviews and comments you end up buying nothing.)
How does this compare to this ASUS @ £139.99 with 10% topcashback available.

True I purchased couple days back the 27 inch predator 144hz with g sync monitor bargain for the price of £300 and perfect for my needs only got it today so will see if it's good tonight
Any thoughts on this monitor?

£199 in lightning deal on Amazon. IPS so not perfect for gaming.

I don't do much design photo stuff. For the price is seems to be good for a general PC.

Which model monitor and where from?
I upgraded a 24 inch 1080p to a 27 inch 1080p a few years ago and It wasn't a good choice. The PPI is just too low IMO.

No it wouldn't, it's 1080p..wouldn't require any more powerful than any other 1080p display as long as you're getting high fps, eg you can easy get over 144fps on overwatch on ultra settings on an r9 390..
