Thanks OP bought one. I was gaming off a 32" tv and everyone laughed at my gaming performance.
Specs
Quad HD 2560 x 1440p
Input: HDMI & DisplayPort
Response time: 4 ms
Built-in speakers
USB 3.0 x 2 & USB Type-C x 1
If your device supports it you can use a single USB type C cable to connect it and it will charge it, give you video output and turn the monitor into a USB hub. Very useful and suitable for my needs but I will look for something more upmarket.
Same price at Amazon, on back order though:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B01BSIL4WU/ref=olp_f_primeEligible?ie=UTF8&f_new=true&f_primeEligible=true

Must resist and hold out for the new HDR screens lol.

Ooh, that's a nice feature but unfortunately I can't find more details online. Like how much power does it output for a laptop? Surely not the maximum 100W.
This one is IPS, which looks nicer and so is better for 'general' use. The one in your link is TN with Freesync, not as pretty an image, but faster response time so better for gaming (particularly with AMD graphics card).

Yeah don't buy that monitor you linked. Acer performed a bait-and-switch on that model monitor. What you have there is the inferior UM.HG0EE.A01 version. You want the UM.HG0EE.001 .
If you compare them side-by-side on the Acer website: https://www.acer.com/ac/en/GB/content/compare/UM.HG0EE.001-UM.HG0EE.A01

You can clearly see they dropped the 144Hz version that all the reviewers got for a 60Hz version. Very dishonest if you ask me.
Any particular reason this isn't hotter. Looks a good price for WQHD 27 inch IPS Monitor. USB-C included.
Mine arrived today. It's far too early to be sure, but I'm very impressed so far.
Still impressed, SlightlyFoxed?

+1 for a recommendation, is it a good quality bargain or worth holding out for something else? I've just had a monitor die and want to jump to 1440p, thislooks nice but I'm also tempted to save up for a 27" CHG70... nothing stopping this being the secondary monitor when that releases though if this one's quality.
Yes, I like it:
The quality is good, as are viewing angles and colour reproduction
The minimal bezel makes it very compact for the screen size
The USB 3/3.1 connections are a great addition
The built in speakers are fine for every day use - I tend to use a headset for gaming.

Minor annoyances:
The energy star logo on power up - completely unnecessary and an irritating delay, but it can be disabled in the OSD.
The limited stand - tilt only, and there's no VESA mount, but it's very stylish and designed to look good on a desk.

Yeah, it's fair to say I'm still impressed.
Appreciate the reply, thanks.

Spent most of yesterday reading about monitors (complete noob), I'm prepared to go to about 400, and this looks like a decent buy for the price.
This is actually a slight step down for me (in resolution), because I couldn't afford the £1000 for a direct replacement of my 30" Dell. I haven't missed the extra 160 points of vertical space.

Also, 4K monitors at this price point tend to be uber cheapo TN panels with few features. IDGAF about 4K anyway.
Seems to have expired a day before payday... well planned Currys!
