100% agree

Got one of these and the battery life is shocking (nearer 4 hours) and the screen is poor. However it is very easy to root and put ICS on which does improve it no end and it is technically as good as a Xoom as it has the same Tegra chipset.
It's ok but I sort of wish I had got one of the Galaxy 7 Plus refurbs that are on eBay for £215 at the mo.
All in not a bad tablet but not brilliant.

£200 for a 7inch acer..now thats a joke. I got samsung galaxy tab 7inch with 3g, now thats a hot deal!

Tempted but waiting for Ainol ones to come back in stock in the UK....must......resist!

Exactly the same but mine lasted 2 weeks. Got the 2.0 update but the apps selection was still poor and expensive so I sold it.
Mind you though build quality wise it p***** on the Acer from a great height but considering it was more expensive than an iPad when it came out it ought to be well made.

Regardless on whether it is better than the playbook, it is overpriced, better off buying ipad 1, galaxy tab and many other better tabs out there. Dont waste your money on this!!!

Good price although i would want the 3g version. Im using a galaxy p1000 at moment

big screen never meant it will be better..it's a personal preference. i have choose 7" for mobility. I can put the tablet into my jeans front or back pocket

Playbook is a better buy

Looks good deal but I can reccommend the advent vega from a well known auction site.Which reguarly comes up on here cheaper. I flashed it yesterday and put ics on it and it flies.

Technically this could be considered a cheap tablet if compared to a Samsung for example. Also as an owner of one there is no way on this earth this tablet can be classed as having a high quality build. The specs are high but the build and quality of the components used is poor.
It's all relative but for £199 it's ok.

hardware is better but overall its way way behind.... like having a ferrai on a small island......

@lugsy3 where did you get the ics rom from? Other half has a vga & I'm tempted to flash it (standard atm) but so many sites give so much info I don't really know where to start!

Got this for the Mrs a few months back, nice machine, very fast and with all the ports (USB, HDMI, SD), and with confirmed ICS in April. She loves it as well as perfect size for the handbag..hot from me.
