But its 650 quid..... guess what.. there's no VR headset either
£650 isn’t cheap
Is the Acer Nitro range good for cooling? I'm sure I read that before.

At any rate would like something like this but with a 1060 card and a decent screen. Any decent deals for a Nitro with that kind of spec?
Wonder how many they sold at the 'was' price of £999...

I believe it was the i7 version that had cooling issues not the i5

C’mon. He has a point. It’s a good machine crippled by not even including a 120GB primary SSD at this high price and it’s a gen old on the CPU - I would have expected an SSD when there was an Asus one for £100 less at Ebuyer.
Sorry, link to the ebuyer 1050 laptop with SSD for £550? Cant find it
reserved and collected one of these today. when I paid, the woman serving asked if I wanted a vat receipt. Initially said no, but she said there's £20 off if I did. Think they set up a business account for me, but I got it for £629 with said vat receipt.
Went looking for the Asus on eBuyer too... No joy.
Just been in to have a look at these and they're so plasticy. The mouse pad is horrendously unpredictable too (not a major issue since everyone will use a USB mouse, but worth noting). More importantly though, you can find exactly the same model on Amazon for exactly the same price, only it comes with an SSD.

You'll find it harder to return if any issues, business v consumer.
