This is the cheapest 144hz WQHD IPS LCD Freesync Monitor I've come across, it also comes with six months free Spotify. Great reviews online, the only negative is that the stand is a bit flimsy but you can mount this monitor.

What a deal!

Description -

Enjoy smooth gameplay

If you're an avid gamer, you'll know how frustrating stuttering and tearing can be. The Acer Nitro VG270UPbmiipx Quad HD 27" LCD Gaming Monitor features AMD Radeon FreeSync to sync the monitor's frames with the graphic card's frames. The result? Smoother gameplay.

The fast 1 ms response time means you can always stay in control, no matter how frantic the on-screen action gets. This is enhanced further by the 144 Hz refresh rate, so you can fully immerse yourself in the gameplay.

You won't get distrated either f you need to make adjustments mid-game - the Display Widget makes it easy to modify the monitor settings at any time.

Beautiful visuals

You always want your games to look their best. The Nitro VG270UPbmiipx has a Quad HD display to bring your gaming worlds to life. It looks beautiful from any viewing angle, while the zero-frame design of the monitor itself helps you to stay focused on the action.

Good deal, heat added
Brilliant monitor for this price, I have one and it’s amazing! Heat!
Good headline price but cheap for a reason. Unless youre that desperate for 144hz i would look elsewhere such as iiyama gmaster silver crow.

Also good luck with currys when things go wrong. Their call wait times are shocking.

Can you expand on the cheap for a reason? Very close to buying it

I've read the reviews and the stand is very flimsy so if you can use the vesa mount for a desk arm
Still waiting for this to come in stock from Acer themselves!

Cheers for posting. Have a mount which I can use.
I recently brought this, I have not used the stand because I use arms . This is a quality monitor and I really appreciate it.
This seems the best monitor for the price given 27", IPS, 144hz, WQHD and 1ms.

Are there any other monitors at this price range which offer the above?

Same i've had my eye on this for a while, but as with any HotUKDeal, there are naysayers who cast doubt on anything.
No problem with the stand if you have a solid desk. Mine does not move at all.
Use code FNDDPCGAMING at the checkout to get another £5 off. It says it goes towards free delivery, but it takes money off for some reason

No it doesn't
I saw this one a week or so back but was put off by the poor stand reviews (I don’t have a mount).

I’m in the market and don’t want to spend much over £300 if I can avoid.

Am I missing something or is the below a better deal?

Depends whether you want an IPS monitor or not. I have this Acer and as someone else said, the stand is fine on a sturdy desk.

It isn't an amazing deal though, I paid the same price from Currys on 1st Jan. It keeps coming back to this price.

I guess it would be an ideal step up from my 2 7-8 year old 23 inch 1080p ~70hz? (Without having to* break bank)

Please check this thread hotukdeals.com/dea…100

And this one hotukdeals.com/dea…180

In a nutshell this panel was the cheapest "1ms", 2k, IPS panel around. Amazon was selling it for £269 and the slightly better version of it VG271UP for £299.

The price here is not the cheapest the VG270UP has been and I would rather wait for Amazon to bring stock and lower the price as a lot of people are complaining about quality issues.

Recently the HP x27i dropped to around £230 on Amazon France. The panel seems very similar (some claim that it is a better panel - except the 4ms refresh) and since I have both the TN version of the HP and the VG271UP version of the Acer I can say that the HP one is of better build quality.

I had no issues with either of the panels but I couldnt stand the TN panel of the HP so I got the Acer after using the HP for 2-3 weeks.

Tl;dr: The price of the Acer is not the cheapest it has been. It has been as low as £269 on Amazon. If you can wait add to your watchlist the HP x27i as it has recently dropped to £230 and it is potentially the same or even a better panel.

Depends. It is Gsynch compatible. Is your current monitor IPS? If not, that alone will be a nice upgrade. For general Windows use you will get a lot more screen space which is good for productivity. For games (and I seem to be alone in this view), QHD barely seems noticeable different compared to 1080p.

They're so old I can't even tell. Both 60hz and LED.

I'm torn between this Acer or the LG Class - hotukdeals.com/dea…382 which is G Sync. This Acer is Freesync no?

So other than £120 difference there’s nothing between the Acer and LG?

It is probably a case of it can push that resolution/refresh rate in menus etc, but the console doesnt have the power to push that res/refresh rate in most games

Back in stock at the acer store. Pick one up for £254 after discount.

You certainly seem confused.

So confused it's sent you illiterate.
For the same specs rather pick up the Acer for the cheaper price compared to the LG. Spend more on the graphics card.

The typo is my bad. Sadly you will always be a troll.

Everyone was saying the xbox one x will not output 1440p @120hz. (Whether many games do play at that res is another matter)

As the above pic it does, so thats why was questioning why the monitor will not accept 1440p @120hz. Seems to be a monitor issue not the xbox one x.

Incorrect, I'm a helpful and positive influence on this site.

This is a PC gaming display - if you're console gaming stick to the limitations of your device.

I think it can either do 120hz at 1080p OR 60hz at 1440p it will just drop the settings accordingly, still looks damn good on a good monito
LG 27gl850 much better panel
