Would be great if I could have just the screen for £59.

Good deal for an entry machine!!! Any voucher comes with it?

Great find!
Heat + rep added!

Very cheap for the price, good base computer for a non-advanced user. Pretty rubbish graphics card and only comes with basic vista though! Also, acers of late seem to be lacking build quality!!

The graphics is OK, not bad if you compare with Intel built-in graphics such as G945, X3100....
It can probably play CS and WOW without problem.

It's actually £291.65 with the VAT reduction.

Ethernet port ?

Can't imagine a PC would come without one!

Ethernet port ?

I think most PC’s build in the last 5 years or so come with an Ethernet port on the motherboard as standard.

Need to buy a PC base for a silver surfer, looks like a good price for the base only. Heat added

Whats included in Windows Vista Home Basic? Does it have microsoft word? and also what does it mean when it says no next to wi fi can you not use a wireless internet connection with this computer. Sorry for the silly questions im not a computer expert!

Good find just ordered. My nephew wanted a basic computer to do his homework and browse the net on. More than adequate for his needs. heat added.

Not sure on the difference between Vista basic, premium and ultimate. Id imagine you get more customisations and a better look and feel to windows. I think if you are only planning to browse the internet and type up a few documents, basic will be all you need. Have a read here:

]Microsoft Website detailing the difference between the Vista types

This comes with a trail version of Microsoft Word, which will probably only last a couple of weeks. It does have Microsoft Works though, which is like a basic Word type program.
No to Wi Fi means that you cant connect to the internet/other PC wirelessly, you will have to plug it into your router. To get it wireless, you would have to buy a separate adapter. Either a USB card or PC card. If you don’t think you can open up your PC to plug in the PC card its best you opt for the USB adapter which will cost around £15. Try here:

]USB WiFi Adapters

i think i would need to upgrade the RAM and maybe HDD on this. would also like premium vista

torn between this one (minus the monitor) and this one: hotukdeals.com/ite…ad-

These are sold out...any others worth looking at,monitor not too important as we have a LG flatscreen, internet use,mp3 downloads, write cd's and dvd.s,not really for game use. Won't consider Packard Bell, or Dell
