Thanks
Why this is cold right now I have no idea, looks good to me
the best purchese i've done in years. i got it for £616 on Black Friday and runs like a champ 120hz, zero backlight bleed.
1 suggestion - buy amazon.co.uk/gp/…c=1 the DP that comes with monitor is so low quality it started to flicker after a week of use.

Same here waited a year for the deal, best monitor I’ve ever used. Would always have ultrawide now ;-)

Do you mean the Samsung was rubbish? Because it reads like you’re saying buy it but then say it broke after a week (I think)

Ah cheers! I bought a Samsung LC34J791WTUXEN but it’s on back order and am wondering if it’s worth cancelling and buying this - hence the question. Not same monitor though

UP to you m8, i think 49 inch is a overkill for gaming, cant even imagine sitting so close to such a big screen. 34 inch is on the edge for me. But main question is do you need G-sync?

Well, I’ve got an Nvidia PC so more useful than freesync. But I also value the thunderbolt connections the Samsung comes with too. Decisions decisions.. cheers for the advice!

If you have enough space and make sure not going to seat closer then 1,5m away I would go with Samsung, most of freesync monitors works with nvidia cards nowadays.
Tempting.
Lowest price you will find. Bought this one last year for the same price. Great monitor!

Its worth it. Especially when you run Witcher 3 or GTA for the first time, no monitor will do after going ultrawide.

I find it especially useful for music production as I can run a long time line and have room for tools and levels.

I went through so many monitors before settling on this (Samsung C43J89, a Dell 2719DGF to name a couple), it's an amazing screen and trying games on 16:9 now feels so underwhelming and somehow boring!

So much space under the screen with this monitor arm , Can i ask what model it is and where you got it from ? Also , are you satisfied with this monitor arm ? ( sturdy and stable enough ? perfectly levelled ?)

Yeah the X34P stand is huge, much more space using an arm plus I can have the monitor further back, since my desk is only 64cm deep.

amazon.co.uk/gp/…c=1
This is the one, although it was only £54.98 when I ordered it.
It's extremely sturdy, I used it with a second screen too (27") for a long time and it has no problem holding multiple large monitors. It's extremely adjustable and easy to get perfectly level yes.
Like I said I used to have dual screens but obviously only use the one now, so you'll probably find a better deal for a single monitor arm setup.

The gas powered arms are so good for moving the monitor up or down etc with only a finger, something I do regularly as I need the monitor at different heights when I stand at my desk.

Good deal, but not as good as what I got on the HP version. I bought a faulty one from ebay for £412 and it was covered by warranty so they sent me out a free replacement (worth £750+)

Lol how can you compare a totally different monitor you got faulty from ebay to this deal?
Besides, if it's the OMEN X you got, that's only 100hz and is a VA panel, which typically have quite bad ghosting

Hey it's a Flexispot 3-Tier amazon.co.uk/gp/…c=1
I got it on Black Friday for £287.99 which I thought was reasonable, I had the Ikea IDASEN frame before this which was a lot more expensive but went back as it had some problems and the height adjustment control was terrible

If you were interested, the countertop is a 186cm Ikea Karlby kitchen worktop I got for £90, looks like they've bumped the price up,
I sanded it and gave it a matt polyurethane coating.
Stunning screen had it a while now. Don't go with the expensive arm, I went for this one and works perfect
amazon.co.uk/dp/B00HYWNCCU?ref_=pe_3187911_248764861_302_E_DDE_dt_1

I just rotate the bracket 90 Deg then twist the monitor bracket back the other way, that way it's virtually flat up to the arm.

Love mine and great price.
great price!

but ive just sold my nvidia card and have amd now with free sync aw well
Finally time to replace the trusty Dell S2716DG - this should be a nice upgrade
I got 2 last Black Friday, well recommended for dual setup
just nabbed one used from amazon for £534 I don't mind the risk and saving of £140 odd

theres one more left for anyone interested

Take it that's a used one at that price? I'd recommend against it if you are at-all fussy, it's likely a unit returned due to horrendous back-light bleed that some of these suffered from, or is one unable to hold the 120hz overclock.
I wouldnt get a warehouse one again, I took the chance on a samsung 34inch ultra and it flickered like crazy as soon as I enabled freesync. Took about 3 weeks for them to refund me too so not gonna take that risk again. In my opinion 99% of them are customer returns for very good reasons.

I already have a perfectly fine monitor ED347CKR which was £450 brand new

so I don't mind if it comes in bad state it'll just go back
been waiting for this to drop for ages, sooo tempting.
Well my resistance to purchase didn't last long, ordered, HEAT! thanks OP!

8 minutes, better than me !
Mine arrived today - mindbogglingly good! It is BIG though, especially the stand, very deep compared to my 27" Dell.
Had mine for a few days now and excellent. Great upgrade from my 24 inch hd model esp for xpland and truckers mp

Yeah I wasn't prepared for its overall depth with the stand, luckily I have a large desk, might have to wall mount in the future.

Love the stand though! Super solid and looks great!
