Nice deal - sick monitor.
it would be good to have IPS panel as well for that price, but still nice.

You can't get a 1ms response on an IPS panel, this is more for competitive gaming
Great monitor I have the 5ms ips versio

According to the Show More (I missed this first myself), Acer is offering 15% off their £500-1199 range. Their IPS panel falls into that category so maybe worth a look!

Giving heeeeat for the heads up!
Wow I sold my PG278Q last week for £450 happy I sold it can get this one Wil wait til tomorrow coz of boxing Day etc

Perhaps if you rub it it'll get better.

No it wouldn't, all the fast refresh rate 27" 1440p screens have terrible orange backlight bleed. I sent two back from different manufacturers (same crap panels). TN panel is fine.
Brilliant monitor. Found it hard to choose between this and its IPS twin. Went with the IPS in the end as I clinched it for a mere £450.

Highly recommended

Yeah I was really excited to see this at this price thinking it was the IPS one as I have that (and all its rivals that use the same panel) sat on my Amazon wishlist for a lot more than this. Damn that extra A on the end of the model number.
I'll keep on waiting. I'm not having a TN panel.
Got this for £410 a few weeks ago, very happy with it despite the odd stuck pixel now and again!

You missed "in my opinion".
Very nice monitor, 144hz & G-sync is a great combo, love my Asus ROG
Such a beautiful monitor I just don't wanna spend £450 on it
I have this exact monitor. Let’s face it, unless we’e spending thousands you are going to be making sacrifices somewhere. The sacrifice in this case is that it is very washed out looking and the colours are poor ever after heavy colour correction

But would you recommend it for ~420?
There doesn't seem to be a button to add it to basket?

For the money you’re getting what you pay for so, yes
just like to say ive had this monitor before, have the x34a now but ive also had the first ROG monitor & the IPS version.

I would rate this monitor above the both. the Rog versions have annoying faults the TN version also the IPS has faults that can only be fixed by sending it to Asus for a firmware flash, also the power brick died twice with the Asus monitors.
