Was £509.99, now £299.99. Cheap for a G-Sync monitor, and especially cheap for a 240hz + G-Sync monitor.

It is ofcourse TN, so colours won't compare to VA or IPS, but it is designed for gaming and has fast response times, ULMB and a high refresh rate.

This monitor was not worth it at the original price point, but with this massive reduction is much more tempting.

Is it worth going from 144 to 240hz? Do you notice much difference?

Is it just me, or does anyone else think she just arted

There is a difference but it isn't hugely noticable. I wouldn't upgrade from 144hz to 240hz unless you absolutely must have the smoothest everything.

I can imagine after seeing 240hz then sitting down in front of a 60hz monitor in the office.. Must be painful.

Personally 144hz 1440p is the way to go ! My 27” IPS predator was the nuts but moved on to ultrawide now and they only go up to 100hz at the moment.

Ordered...such a good price...most places on the net have same product for double the price! Now i need to get that gtx1080....

Just ordered mine, really good offer could not wait for the 1440p to come down, so 1080 it is.

When you go IPS...

There's some real diminishing returns. Hard to justify jumping from 144hz to 240hz unless you're on a professional team and playing something like CS:GO. Otherwise, 144hz is ample.

You cannot find a 144hz IPS monitor with G-Sync for anywhere near this price

What is generally the best 1440p mon to go for the ips predator ones have bad reviews from quality control issues and God knows when the ultra wide 200hz are coming out

AMAZON HAVE PRICE MATCHED AT £299.99 WITH FREE DELIVERY.

Do you have a link, cant find it.

It is temporarily (according to Amazon) out of stock now, so you will have to wait for it. Hopefully it's not end of line.

One of the OCuk employees (Gibbo) said this about the monitor:

Guys the 240Hz is really flying and as such were nearly sold out, if your considering one please be quick as no idea if Acer will repeat it because of the huge cost to them, its £200 per panel support.

Be quick, sales are insane, probably be gone today.

Will let you know tonight how it is

Has anyone received theirs yet? I paid for the monitor on Saturday night while it said there was available stock, haven't had any notification of dispatch as of yet so I created a webnote, have been told the monitor is no longer in stock and has caused my order to be delayed. He immediately offered me to pick another monitor of the same value, completely defeats the point of getting this promotion.

I can't see them getting more of these as they are clearly end of line, they have also pulled the product off the website completely.

I got mine...but its still in the box...Im waiting for my gaming rig to arrive end of this week!

Just had my originally "out of stock" order from Amazon dispatched and they're still offering the monitor for sale as "out of stock" (albeit at £499 now) so Acer must still be making them or have stock somewhere. If you're relying on the Overclockers forum Acer Bargain thread for information, I wouldn't believe anything that is there; they're salesmen and contradict themselves. At one point it says they're end of line, other times it says they don't know / hope Acer can offer the same deal in the future. Apparently the Acer deals were Black Friday bargains they just couldn't bear to hold back for 2 months, etc etc etc.

Ordered mine Thursday night around 19:00ish (cut of for next day was at 16:00), dispatched Friday (dont delivery weekends unless pay more), arrived Monday 9th.

I had a standard 60hz, 1920x1200 HP 24" monitor.

Playing battlefield 1 and can tell a massive difference with my gtx 1070 rog strix, vsync disabled and g-sync enabled. Its so smooth.

Also tested CSS, will have to limit my fps as I get more than 240 on most older games, so will cause input lag if I go over what my monitor is able to produce.

But overall happy with the purchase. (would suggest a 144hz monitor is good enough, as most games cant do more than 200fps anyway if you having high graphics settings)

Even though I got my order in when they had some in stock (according to the site) and taken my money, looks like I won't be getting my one.

"Thank you for your recent order with Overclockers UK, we apologise for any inconvenience caused but we have not been able to process your order as you have out of stock items on your order.

The monitor that you have chosen was a limited offer and we did oversell on them i'm afraid, we're currently trying to furter stock from Acer with the promotional pricing but we have yet to obtain this. We should know further information next week.

If you're happy to retain your order we will process and ship your order as soon as stock is available, however if we're unable to obtain any more stock of the item we can look at an alternative of your choice with a discount or we can cancel the order.

Item in question:

Ah that sucks, Guess I was a lucky one, but by looks of it they will honour the price and item if they get more stock?

Amazon order dispatched, good luck to Overclockers OOS orders, I hope they come through.
