Hi all,

This has been posted as a deal on a different website but went out of stock and disappeared. It now seems to have re-appeared with stock on Ebuyer - I checked yesterday and it wasn't there. Great price for a G-Sync Panel as that feature alone normally carries a pretty hefty premium.

By the way, yes, we know 27" may be too big for 1080p, and it's not a 4000hz IPS ultra-wide, but for someone like myself using an NVidia card that won't be pushing crazy frame-rates at 1440p it's pretty spot on. Also comes with Assassin's Creed Origins (I'm assuming a code) so whether that's for playing or re-selling it's a pretty sweet deal.

Credit to the poster of this deal back when it was in stock at Scan

Cheers all
Dan

This is tempting , not sure if I should get this or the 32in 1440p 75hx monitor
Edited by: "ajayj" 29th Nov

What's the minimum frame rate for Gsync?
I can't help but think that anyone serious enough to want gsync and 144hz, will also want at least 1440p.
For everyone else, the same money will get a very NICE Dell 27" 1440p 60hz IPS.
Still seems a good price if you want one of these though.

What's the Dell model you're speaking of? I'm still uncertain what to buy so I'm open to any other ideas

This is a good price. Having a quick look around it is priced around £500 most places. Have my heat.

:O HOT!

Wish I hadn’t bought the cheapy one I posted the other day! Hot hot hot

Paid more for the smaller screen a while back, and it's brilliant. Gsync is a game changer.

Good point, will stick with my current choice then. Thanks

Using it now, great monitor at a ridiculous price. Sold the origins for £30 making it even bigger bargain.

Don't listen to anyone who tells you 1080 @ 27-28" is no good. I've used that size and resolution at work and home for years.

thx, is that just a regular monitor though not widescreen?

Yup regular not curved.

Same I'm using this monitor and it's perfect people saying don't get this because it will appear blocky obviously bought a rubbish monitor

It's a curved monitor even says up top

Bought this monitor before Black Friday and mine has had some problems, already sending it back to Acer because the eye tracking doesn’t work. The picture is great though, been playing pubg and it has improved my game due to the higher frame rate and larger screen making enemies easier to spot. Eye tracking didn’t factor into my purchase really, but if you pay £300 for something you expect the whole thing to work.

Also, because of the eye tracking problems I haven’t received my Assassins Creed code yet, it needs to detect properly before you get it.

Other people have received their monitors bashed to pieces as well.

EDIT: also, check your USB controllers in devices before you buy this for eye tracking, it seriously does not like ASMedia USB 3.0 and will not work with those. Shame they don’t list this in the advertising, but it’s a known issue.

Thanks a lot for the information, much appreciated. I'm not too fussed about eye tracking but it's good to have the feedback so thanks for taking the time to write that

And hopefully mine doesn't come bashed to pieces

Bought one of these a few months back for £400. Thought it was excellent until the eye tracking stopped working after a few weeks. A common problem with this model supposedly.

Was £700 6 months ago so if youre not too bothered about the eye tracking packing up then its a good deal for a 144hz monitor with excellent picture quality.

It's true that 1080p works at 27", but it's not great unless you've never tried 1440p+. In my opinion, it's better to spend this type of money on a solid 27"+ non-gsync 1440p monitor. Not only does everything look better, but the extra desktop space offers increased productivity.

I'm using 2x 27" 1440p monitors atm, I used to use a 27" 1080p monitor. I still occasionally hook up my laptop to various 24-27" 1080p monitors to do work when I'm away but I wouldn't ever buy a 1080p monitor again.

This is a good monitor but OP should be updated as this does NOT have G-sync.
Still hot.

I have tried 1440p and also 4K on a 32", i prefer 1080p as i like to be a few feet from the screen. It's just personally preference, what i object to is all the ridiculous posts that you can see all the pixels or the screen is blocky.

This is a gaming monitor, 1080p @ 144hz with Gsync is great for £300. The curve screen, decent speakers and eye tracking are just a bonus. Facial recognition on windows hello is cool.

Whizzey10 h, 39 m ago

What's the minimum frame rate for Gsync?

30fps. Below that it starts doubling or even tripling frames to try and keep things smooth, but it's inevitably going to look like garbage at such low framerates anyway.

Bought one as a gaming monitor. I noticed this monitor when they had them on sale for £400. And passed it off as being a little too much for my needs. So I just couldn't resist at this price point.

I don't care for the eye tracking. Just G-sync and the 144hz. Plus my video card will push the frame rate all the way up to 144 fps and beyond at 1080.

Yeah it's the cheapest 1080p G-Sync deal I could find regardless of the eye tracking definitely worth it at this price!

Shame it's not a 1440p monitor, still a very good price

pcper.com/rev…lia

They had issues with eye tracker on their demo machine. If you exclude eye tracker is this good enough to be a general pc monitor and a gaming machine. It will only capture 97% of RGB colours.

Currently £380 from amazon, but has been under £300 in an amazon warehouse deal, and I have seen it elsewhere around that price (amazon, ebuyer etc.).

I think people that say they can see all the pixels do have some truth to their claims. It's not like when you get within two feet of a big TV set (720/1080), no that's when you can really make out the pixels, so in that sense it's not true but there's something not quite 'smooth' about 1080p on larger monitors, that's what ppl are talking about. Perhaps you're not getting that feeling because you sit quite far from the screen or perhaps you've not used 1440/2160p for long enough, but anyone that sits fairly close and has used 1440p before, will notice it. I sit close to my screens, maybe 2-3 feet and notice a lot of difference.

Here's the thing though, I only started noticing it after my move to 1440p. I used to think it was all hype.
I suppose it's a bit like when we used 1024x768, thought it looked great until I tried 720/1080p.
Only issue I can see with 1440p is needing a good GPU, my 970 does fine but in some games if you crank up the settings high enough it'll struggle (having two monitors might have something to do with it), no regrets though, going to grab a 1070Ti/1080 at some point.

Not a bad deal but people should really think about investing in 1440p instead.

Yep, 100% sure, when you use the monitor you have to set up Tobii on your computer, and register your device with the tobiigaming website (if the tracker is connected then it will auto fill the serial number for you) Once recognised, after around 6 hours you should receive an AC: Origins code in the ‘game keys’ section of the site.

If it doesn’t send you the code through then chase it up with Tobii via their customer service and they will sort it for you in a couple of days. That’s how I did mine with the same monitor.
Edited by: "grizzl33" 1st Dec

Mine is going back, the Tobii eye tracking randomly stops working and the screen has developed a very slight but highly irritating flicker.

If it's something you're going to use then send it back as faulty if you're not too fussed about it then it's up to you, depends how much you value it as a feature.
