I thought I saw this at eBuyer...

£259 @ ebuyer.com/pro…020

My apologies, I hate it when manufacturers use the same model number for different products.

Yup.. Saw this as well but with the it having an older CPU and only integrated graphics, I think the Revo will be a better choice And also, just 1GB RAM.

But I missed my e-sata :P

This is a decent price for the Windows 7 version so hot from me.

Using this with XBMC in my living room.

while we are on the subject of revos, anyone know why ebuyer have removed the 500gb, 4gb ram model from their site? it was priced around £298 at xmas and then went upto the £338 mark.

Just wondering thats all, maybe these will come down again over the easter period (hopefully)

No problem "MadeDixonsCry" and "chedixon"... Unfortunately just off the street only and not online. I wonder why it's on high street and it's suppose to be an exclusive model?

Why would you get this instead of a laptop?

Why would you get this instead of a laptop?

Because this is more a media hub than a laptop, that's what most people buy this for.

Ponder on this question as well and most "affordable" laptops doesn't come with dedicated GPU which is crucial for me in long term when I want to connect to a blu-ray player. And also I heard that the Revo is much quieter...

It's a SFF desktop and you suggest getting a laptop instead! WTF!!!

I'm not suggesting anything. I simply asked a question...

I was just asking why people would choose a fixed desktop machine like this when you can get a portable machine with pretty much the same specs for a similar price.

Because it’s a SFF (Small Form Factor) desktop which fits into a HTPC setup nicely or you can probably mount it directly onto the rear of a monitor/TV.
Laptops may give you portability but this is designed for a different function which is why my eyebrows went into Roger Moore mode.
