Been looking for a new monitor for a while and found this. Only Full HD but higher refresh rate and response time than usual, vesa compatible, IPS. Seemed a decent price. It's on Amazon for £107 from Ebuyer's Amazon retailer, everywhere else it's £140 (AO, Currys, etc)

  • 1920 x 1080 Full HD
  • HDMI & VGA
  • 75Hz / 1ms Response Time
  • Panel Type: IPS
  • VESA Mount Compatible

I'm quite interested in this. Can anyone comment if Ebuyer support and Acer monitor support are good or not?

Was very interested until I saw the positioning of the vesa Mount
Need advice guys. I have i5 6600K, R390 8Gb and 16gig RAM. Is this the best kind of compromise I should be looking at? IPS, 75MHZ, or should I wait for Black Friday?

Why don't you like it out of interest? I've ordered two and plan to get a dual mount for them.
Is there speakers?
Was posted other day but expired quite quick. I had mine delivered quickly. Can’t xomment yet on the monitor itself since I ain’t home for another month

There are speakers but only 4W so they won’t be great.. best off getting separate ones or using a headset if it’s for gaming 😃

If an item fails within warranty (as my hard drive did) they won't replace it, but rather offer you a partial refund deducting what they consider the cost of you having used it. I'm never buying from ebuyer again.
I bought this in the deal last week and I love it.

Depends what games you play, for fps or racing games you probably wanna shelllout for 144hz tn
my lads want a monitor to play their PS4 on instead of playing on the TV. I'm not 100% sure what to go for but would this be any good for their needs?

Legally they can’t do this

With your config I will look for something with higher refresh rate on 1080p as your card can easily push more fps than 75. Or qhd 75Hz.
Thinking about having a monitor in the kitchen where there is no terrestrial aerial and just using IPTV, anyone know if a monitor would be suitable rather than a TV for this, as this would be tempting.
I purchased this recently, for one of my boys to replace a 22" 1080p LCD dell monitor as part of his dual monitor gaming setup.
He thinks the monitor is brilliant and I have to agree with him. I have used and viewed some decent monitors over the years and this compares with the best of them.
The Sound from the built-in speakers is a bit (very) weak, (they are only 2x2w speakers working over the HDMI lead). Apart from that, the audio is the only weakness (if you need to use it) that I can see so far, but it's still good enough for a quiet room or quiet work area if you need sound occasionally.
One point to note and it took a while to work out what was wrong, the monitor when first connected kept flashing then going off coming back on, on it's own, when either using the PC mouse or adjusting any of the screen adjustment buttons. After a fair amount of head scratching, It turned out it needs HDMI 1.4 version leads newest type. (or at least this one did, there's only a VGA??? in the box).
The HDMi off his xBone worked great (2x hdmi ports on monitor) and as I said the picture for gaming, movies, CAD, just about everything that has been thrown at it, has been outstanding.
Looking at some of the forums, I think people have been having a few issues the same (hdmi lead) and it has probably reflected in the price of the screen being so low, so take advantage of their generosity while you can...

Yes, but as you say you would need one of the small stand alone IPTV box's or similar (chromecast, FireTV, etc...) that you can buy, to plug into the hdmi ports. The built-in 2 x 2w speakers are fairly quiet and probably not be loud enough to use as a kitchen TV.

Thank you.
I am sure I can connect a couple of speakers
Can anyone please confirm this monitor has audio out?
Is this monitor a better buy than the HP one from Argos for the same money?

Will be using it for PS4 as well as a second screen for my mac.

How soon after purchase did it fail? If within 30 days then you are due full refund, if not then you must deal with the manufacturer
Surely ebuyer are not offering you the warranty, that lies with the manufacturer.

Is that an optional extended warranty provided by ebuyer with this written in the terms?
Or is this within manufacturer warranty? Becasue if its within manufacturer warranty I'm pretty sure you are legally entitled to either a full refund, refurbishment if suitable or equal replacement of the item.I would be making a complaint to customer service, or register the device on the manufacturer website and claiming warranty direct through manufacturer.
Is this any good even if not attach to a freesync graphics card?
its NOT actually 1ms, the a reviews on youtube, proving that.

The Argos HP monitor you link to does not have any speakers or a VESA mount so if that is a requirement then I would stick to the Acer. The HP looks more attractive though. As for screen quality I can’t help on that.

If I was interested in 2, no issue, but otherwise this would sit much higher than my other monitor that has the mounts in the centre

Yes, its fine for a 390 on very high detail gaming, 75 hz is a bonus at this price level, freesync helps on tougher games, Ignore the 1 ms, obvious b/s it will be 4 or 5 ms.

It was over 6 months, and I tried the manufacturer. However Toshiba does not offer warranty directly:

"If you bought the Toshiba Hard Disk Drive from a shop, then guarantee claims can only be made with the shop which sold you the drive"

So I returned to ebuyer for a warranty replacement, and:

"As per our terms and conditions and in line with the Sale of Goods Act 1979, as this item is over 6 months old you will only qualify for a proportionate refund of the original purchase price. Therefore we are unable to issue a replacement as initially requested".

They still had the same drive in stock, but refused to replace it.
I brought this, when it was at this price fortnight ago. The speaker are alot worse the expected, way too quite but over all decent monitor. this is the right price for it tbh or should be £85-£90.

Was delivered within 4 days, ebuyer used yodel and packaging was poor in my opinion.

I had ordered HDMI cable of ebay, since it only came with VGA... all worling fine.

I’ve got this monitor and use a PS4 pro (with increased frame rate activated). I think it’s a great monitor for the price. I also happen to use it for work-purposes and it’s great on that front too.
